NoDo you think there's any possibility that both Conte and Levy are actually fine? That they both realised it would take a few windows and everything is on track etc. Maybe some CBs and GK in the Summer and everyone is happy lol
No
I’d they were conte would have the contract signed
This is true in all walks of life you have to get on with it, if you're working you might get only a week's compassionate leave.
But it is going to take a toll especially with all the other things he has had to face this year. In the circumstances he has done well carrying on. While I don't think he is the best manager for us. There is no question in my mind that he is a very dignified and honourable man. Hard to believe given his Juventus background. He will come back and at least see out his contract imo.
I think the January window was a huge clue too. Not signing the unversatile Zaniolo because we could only get an obligation, then parking Spence and Gill away while refusing all options, very much suggested we were planning for a post-Conte future.

You mean like Conte has said in a few interviews? Nah, they couldn't be fine...Do you think there's any possibility that both Conte and Levy are actually fine? No chancemaybe they’ve already agreed to take the year extension and deal with it next year
His contract ends before the window will open. And even if it didn't, we wouldn't be basing our having a manager on whether we can get some players. That would be crazy. What if he said, look its gonna take us a few windows but if we get what we need then I'll commit long term until then I have this intial 18months etc., and we haven't yet got all those players he needs. Once he has the missing pieces this window he might say thanks, now we're cooking!
I'm just joking really, He's probably off. Just saying
I'm still scratching my head why we didn't go for Schlotterbeck. Oh well, what the fudge do I know...Maybe, I thought that going for Porro, Zaniolo, Hincapie etc. showed they were trying for Conte players, Just can't always get what you need in Jan. Although I would say that going 2 windows now without being able to find the CBs we so badly need is unforgivable. I would assume Lenglet was because they couldn't pry Bastoni or Gvardiol etc away and needed to make a decision. Either way, Let's sit back and see what the rest of the season brings. It's gonna be difficult to achieve what we want with the squad as it is right now... roll on the summer
No chance
He is gone
We Move on
Asap please
Hey that’s finedislike
That deal was done in the middle of last season though wasn’t it, outside of the window for 22/23 seasonI'm still scratching my head why we didn't go for Schlotterbeck. Oh well, what the fudge do I know...
dislike
You really do have a bee in your bonnet, i really couldn't care less if a dislike button was added, i'm not on here to make friends.I'm pining for a dislike button on here but feel it may hit @Yiddo the hardest, but no doubt it'll be everyone else's fault for being too sensitive, to things like idiocy / ignorance etc
Is @scaramanga the only mod / programmer left? Could do with different reactions further than just a like imo but it's probably too close to other forms of social media for it to seem acceptable, despite this being a form of social media..
Levy and Conte obviously communicate.
With what's gone on with Conte, I think he's said to Levy he's not in the headspace to talk about contracts. There's no point pushing a man in that situation. He and Levy have agreed to keep a lid on it until the summer, (it's telling there are no direct questions on his future in the pressers considering how little time is left on his contract) and although it's probably likely Conte will go the door is still open if he resets himself and is re-energise.
From Levy's pov, he can easily give Conte another season as the contract allows it and he also has an easy appointment with Poch in his back pocket if he wants.
Not forgetting DL might also have a Paratici situation to deal with as well. If Paratici had to go...it might debuffer the working relationship with Conte.
