Antonio Conte - officially NOT the coach of THFC

"Entire recover" seems significant, i.e. not short term.

Without being to cynical, out of cl and f a cup and no progress on 4th i don't think he will be back.
I suspect an agreement has been struck.

I think that's just a translation issue. Normally you'd say "....until I have fully recovered", which - to my ears - doesn't sound quite so bad.
If he was contemplating a way out, then why rush back when he did?

I was thinking perhaps full recovery implied the 6-8 week period, rather than the 2-3 weeks recommended for desk-based work.

It's just those pining for Poch doing any mental gymnastics that gives them hope of that happening and reading more into the statement.
He'll be back in a week or two, definitely before the second leg against Milan.

I think the statement is pretty good. He definitely has a sense of affinity for the club and is desperate to win. It's good that we could that we have options in the summer if he does go but I would love to see a GK and some decent ball playing defenders come in and have Conte prove the doubters wrong and win something.

Who else is thinking, that Conte is going to use his health, as a excuse to leave, saying family and health is more important to him, so wants to stay in Italy, which in a way excuses him for failing to win a trophy, cause he didn’t finish the job.

Nope. He'll just fudge off if he wants to.

I think any exit will be a staged exit to enable both parties to save face. Levy for getting rid of his final throw of the dice and one of the best managers in world football. Conte for under appreciating the situation in that his 343 wont work here for a few seasons.

We just won't renew his contract in the summer. When has levy ever justified any manager sacking?

Then Levy might as well walk now… appointing Conte was his baby and’ master stroke’ to win a trophy. If it comes out Levy didnt renew Conte’s deal then he is dead to the fans.

He cant appoint one of the apparent best managers in world football to a club that, quite frankly, doesnt deserve it and fudge it off after a 18 months.

I said the same almost a year ago. If conte fails levy should step down. After mourinho and nuno.

He won't though.

Who says he is ignoring medical advice? It takes about a week to recover from a gall bladder removal and return to work once there's no physical labour. An elderly family member had the same operation last year and left hospital the same day it was removed.

Well mate, apparently he did, indeed, ignore medical advice and has thankfully been pulled up on it.

I don't understand why this became such a hot topic? He looked terrible, was acting like half the coach he is, and was clearly in need of greater recuperation. And if a half-fit general is trying to run the show, well, there will be problems within the ranks!
