Oh, and someone said about ten pages ago that Arsenil keep making it into the CL so they make lots of money - but I would imagine they spend it all on wages and bonuses like we did, so not as big a net positive as you might think.

Well for one, they sell more shirts than any other club on the planet, and by a big margin, thats just shirt sales alone they make huge amounts of cash from. They really are a cash cow when it comes to milking the £ from their 'fans'.

I've never met an honest scouser, so surely they don't buy the real thing when they're living out on the Costa del Crime?

Pool is NOT a sustainable business model, fact is they have been running a brick model for the last decade, despite very good income.

What did happen is, in the last sale, the board/incoming owners managed to fudge the previous owners with the debt, basically they got a get out of jail card.

While they have reset to low debt, if they continue to buy, pay the idiot wages over next 3-5 years without CL Football, it will happen all over again.

Levy is low-balling Lyon, not because we can't afford it, but because that's what he does. We could buy Lloris tomorrow if we wanted, but Levy likes to yank a few chains.

His Dad is a plank if he thinks we'd ejaculate Modric money...on a goalkeeper.
