another "ITK" on Seim De Jong

Mark Klendjian MBE‏@2drivemark

@georgebann vert deal has problem with his agent and ?ú. De Jong, fee agreed with Ajax. Discussing personal terms

Come on, why the fudge would Jose be interested in us? Seriously, this is flimflam, and you all know it, deep down.

Have faith on Mourinho.

He will come when the stadium gets done, in 4 years.

For now its about getting ready for that time.

At the time we were third in the league, within striking distance of the top of the league and playing some of the best football in europe.

So then i believe we could have interested him.

Now, no.

I'm not sure that's true. 4th best team in the EPL. That's not nothing. It probably means that in all of Europe we are probably in or around the Top 10 most desirable clubs. That is even more likely true when you add in our London location, excellent new training facility, a "players' manager" being in charge and our image as a vibrant club on the up.

That will mean we miss out on the really top galactico's and young South American - or French - superstars, but there are plenty enough high quality international players left after those really top guys are taken.

wage restrictions, we are in London but Arse and Chelsea are more attractive, no CL on a regular basis, i doubt we are that much of an attractive option

plus the way we held onto Modric last summer cant have impressed many footballers and agents

......................Rooney
Hazard...........Young............Valencia
...........Scholes..........Carrick
Evra.....Vidic..........Ferdinand......Jones
..................Lindegaard

was thinking this..(except swap hazard with young)...

but then what of nani? and in the chance that profile wins out and instead it is valencia on fringes hen we should DEFINATELY go in for him

I'm sure Levy will consider that next time he's reading this thread.

come on, you know he is monitoring everything

tell us about him

A young French centre half who is on a rapid rise. Been at Montpellier his whole career (being a fan of them since I went there a few years back, I've seen him perform), he is 23 and already captain of his team. He was also picked in France's Euro 2012 team. If I was to say he reminds me of ANY centre half in the Premier League it'd probably be a Vincent Kompany. I rate him higher than Kaboul too.

Strong, plays the ball on the floor, great in the air. Just seeing how Saudi Sportswashing Machine have done buying from French league, buying Cabaye (crucial in Lille's title winning team), I think signing a CAPTAIN from a team from the french league who just WON the league. Him and Kaboul would be our centre back pairing for YEARS to come.

A lot of the times when we are connected with a football superstar I figure there is no chance - but I could see Mourinho coming to Spurs. But only if he is keen to come to live in London again.

He likes a challenge. Of the other options in London, Abramovich isn't going to hire him, and Wenger isn't going anywhere. Before his spell with Real I wouldn't have been that excited. Now, though, I think he would be a great signing.

its becoming increasingly rare for highly rated players wanting to join Tottenham

I get the impression that European players like the way the club plays football especially at the moment. We did ourselves no harm in the CL a few seasons ago, and I am sure there are plenty of quality players who love the game and would be happy to play week in week out on a decent wage at a club playing attractive football. It feels like money has completely enveloped football but not everyone is motivated by it.

just to make sure Levy doesnt get complacent and try and haggle the sh't out of this deal until the final day of the window

Levy: The highest we're willing to offer is 10m
Ajax: 12m and he's yours
Levy: 10m
Ajax: 12m
Levy 10m
Ajax: 12m
Levy: I think we'd have more success if we did this in person

*Hops on Levyjet to Amsterdam*

Levy: Right, how does 10m sound?
Ajax: We've told you, we want 12m
Levy: That was over the phone though, I can take him right now, no problems. 10m
Ajax: 12m!
Levy 10m

*Repeat the above x100

Ajax: OK, OK!
Levy: We have a deal then?
Ajax: Yes! He's yours! Wire the 10m through
Levy: How about 9m?

Good assessment. I'd liken him to Sakho, good young prospect.

Far too close to the truth for me. :D

@GuillemBalague just said on @SkySportsNews that Jose had an interest in Spurs but the interest was only from his end not Spurs#wow #thfc

What a load of garbage. At a push, one might say it is likely to have occurred to Jose that if he wanted to go back to London there are only 3 options, and Spurs are one of them. But to dress that up as anything more - he wanted us/we didn't want him - is self evident nonsense.

@BenMcAleer1 : Reports emerging from Brazil suggest Leandro Damiao is to sign for #Spurs in July

Having extensively researched this chap (yes, I looked at two YT compilations) he seems genuinely 2-footed, and to score surprisingly often from headers. Dare I say it, reminds me of Drogba - he seems to bully and push defenders around a lot, to score a lot with his head, and scores both from outside the box and with tap-ins. Perhaps with a wee bit more pace than Drogba. Also has a few tricks. Not typically "Brazilian", but then neither is Sandro but that's working out well. Looks well suited to England.

is that tree man Ben?? have ITKs moved on from internet forums and onto teletext??

i think teletext is gonna drive us nuts this summer, all sorts of no-names coming out with exclusive flimflame transfer info

I think he's actually surpassed Sakho now to be honest. But yeah, I would liken them to each other for sure. Sakho also captained PSG at a young age. Don't think Sakho even made Blanc's team did he!?
