Why does everyone seem to believe Levy is always looking for a bargain and will not pay top dollar for a player? How does anyone know this? It is worse than ITK when it comes to Levy and his policy on spending. Yes we have a wage cap but was Levy not the person who splashed out on the likes of Bentley?

I think we need to know the in's and outs before we start getting on Levy's back. To many people on here think they know it all when they clearly do not.

The problem with the deal as my ITK understands is we want to pay a tiny amount upfront and the rest over 2/3 years and ajax want most of the money upfront and the rest over 2 years and also some stuff about bonus payments but they are coming closer in negoating every day! It is nearly done but just needs to be ironed out could take abit yet or could be done today! Depends on DL willing to pay more money upfront and/or ajax lowering there inital fee!

I would agree.


Whilst the club is going to have larger amounts of capital lying around in post/pre-season, they're not going to throw it all on one transfer as it's required to cover wages throughout the year..
 
Actually worked out as 35m and 14 thousand as Saudi Sportswashing Machine charged them interest for their payment being a few minutes late :lol:
