According to durham on talksport Carroll is the bollox for scoring that header in the Euros!

Today he asked what value Spurs fans would put on Modric and argued that he was poor last year and was only worth 15-20 million!
Sad thing is the spurs fans agreed

Carroll is a bully, that is what makes him an interesting Plan B (note I didn't say plan A).

Unlike a Bent (to answer the early posters question), he occupies defenders, bullies them, wins a lot in the air. The last couple of games for Pool last year showed what he is capable of in form.

There are several PL teams where the defenders are very aggressive (Stoke) and get at opposition attackers, someone ike Carroll would be a decent option.

Trick with Carroll (like Bent), is the cost, at >15M, not a good buy, at sub 10M, good option.

Why? It's exactly like the crap that Jan Moir or Liz Jones write for the Mail. They just say brick to get a reaction, boost listener/website views and boost advertising revenue as a result. By getting annoyed you are just playing into their hands.
