My view is clear that I don't think the hoped for end result will materialise. I also hope I'm wrong.
For those that do think it'll happen - what are your breaking points? How low are you prepared to let it go to reach the upward curve?
Flirt with relegation and finish 15th?
Flirt will relegation and respond?
Get relegated and use it as a springboard?
Those are all possible if you look at the table.
Maybe the framing of the question should be "how do you see it panning out" between now and May?
Genuine question(s), asked without prejudice - I'm really interested to hear the breadth of people's thinking.
Those are only possible if we go through the next five months with the current squad in its current state of health (i.e. if we continue to have 10 players out). I don't usually do absolutes, but I will say unequivocally that if we get back at least 5 of those players by the end of January, we will be in and around the EL places. I think CL is a step too far this season. Relegation? I'm not being rude, but do you remember both the last time we were relegated and the last time we genuinely flirted with it? These are very different circumstances IMO...I am sure we both hope I am right?
