***OMT TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR vs Liverpool***

I don't doubt that he's taking the cups seriously but to suggest he's prioritising them seems like a roundabout way to excuse general league form and just doesn't make sense to me.

He won’t be around to manage in said cup competitions if he league form doesn’t pick up. Levy cares about the top 4 more than anything and won’t tolerate mid table finishes.

I don't think that's the case and I think that the club probably understands that we are rebuilding and so targets need to be adjusted to reflect that.

End of the day it is what is mate.

Personally I'd back Ange over Levy.

I love the ethos. Guy just needs to be backed. Bissoama is just awful. Sarr has it but maybe not in our system. Kulu is good. But maybe shouldn't be our key lynch pin. Son is running on vapours. We have needed a refresh for a while. The chairman just hasn't a clue.

Greatest thing today was the fans. Then the players that never gave up for the manager.

Until Levy goes this is who we are. A banter club.

Edit. Sarr doesn't have it. He's a half decent mf for someone like Southampton.

Wish we had the Sarr from Palace.
Mate Sarr is our best player

Levy owns the club or at least a decent chunk of it
I don’t think many would argue if he was to go but who is then buying the club
That’s a long long way off

He’s had long enough. Its time for someone else. We are a huge club. One of the biggest sports franchises in the world. Yet we are a banter club. Levy is a loser. Time to go.

There are managers who are a balance of attack and defence (or at least far more of a balance). I'd like one. It's typical Levy (though natural) to flip flop from one extreme to another. Same happens with prime ministers.

3rd time.

The point was we had plenty of options, to play plenty of formations.

You must be just being a d1ck now, as I can't believe some is so fecking stupid that they can't understand simple concepts.

And if you don't understand simple things like these, that they were just examples of formations we could playing with team we had available from the list stef supplied. Then the rest of whatever else you say is must be complete and utter bollox too.

Three times I have explained to you this... But no, who is actually put in the examples i supplied to highlight the fact that we could have played various teams and formations, with or without Kulu, Maddison, Porro, Reg, or whomever is more important to you than the actual point I was making.

You need to stop licking windows, it's clearly not good for you.
And for the third time, picking lesser options is not the way forward.
If you have a point, try and make a strong point.

lol - I think it depends whether you put Ange in the middle or the club in the middle.

As you know, I don't want Ange removed, but I still keep the picture in my head that the direction of travel is what is important. If we change the driver, then the rest is still intact as long as the new driver wants to play front foot, progressive football. This squad is ready made for that man, and we can get back to where we are now in a very short cycle and then keep going beyond.

I don't fear manager change as much as some actually. Still don't want him removed yet. I'd like to see him be a little more adaptive though.

I agree with that and have no issue with that either, albeit I would like this manager to be given a fair shake. I must you though...in the middle of what?

Those saying be pragmatic, sit in, be compact, are you really confident we could scrape a victory playing like that with Salah against a CB who's 18 and not a CB?
Salah is nearly as old as our two cbs combined, which makes carra calling dragu experienced a joke.

There is another option Steff, he tweaks things slightly. No one is asking him to play like Jose, just be realistic and sensible at times like Poch who was somewhere in the middle of the two coaches in terms of style of play. Is it really smart to have the full backs bombing on so much when we’re up against Salah and Diaz? Not to mention we have Dragusin and an 18 year old at CB which is not his preferred position. Just be pragmatic at times, not all the time, just sometimes. In all honesty, his post match comments after the United game and today about wanting to entertain and refusing to change his tactics make him look quite amateurish, like an Aussie Ted Lasso, accept he doesn’t have the one liners to fall back on.

Did you see my post about this earlier? I invite you to offer a more pragmatic solution with appropriate players in our current situation? Do you think with more pragmatism today (as is the phrase) we'd have avoided defeat today? Do you think sitting in a mid to low block would've seen us prevail? Or do you think tired players who have been coached in a system would perhaps find an adjustment to 18 months of work plus receiving wave after wave of opposition attacks ultimately wearing? I cannot say it would be like that because we have not seen it, but in the world of assumptions, it's one I'm prepared to make.

I personally think your 'Aussie Ted Lasso' comment is disrespectful, but I presume you wouldn't say it unless you genuinely believed it. In which case, can you explain how he is like Ted Lasso? Genuinely?
I actually don't think people listen to his entire press conferences, instead choosing to pick what fits their fixed points of view. Press included.

It's about telling Porro that he's not a RWF and to sit. It's about telling Dragusin not to chase into midfield and leave huge holes in the defense behind you. It's definitely about telling them not to do both at the same time. We might still have lost, but it's more likely that we would lose by the odd goal instead of three goals. Doing that gives us a much better chance of getting a lucky draw or even a lucky win.

Understood and appreciate your opinion. IMO it's easy on (digital!) paper, but think about it. All of a sudden you tell Porro to sit. Which has a knock-in effect through the side. Systems in place need to be re-calibrated, who do the midfielders cover now that Porro is sitting? How far up do the attacking players push without the inside support/movement? Do we isolate the front three? Do we need to shift to a diamond midfield? Do we have the players -or current training- to do that? I will absolutely agree that Drags got caught today on that third goal, but if we look at how it started, it's happened because Madders has made a very tired effort in the upper left side of the pitch to play a ball across and weakly given up possession (largely I believe because he was knackered). Everyone is caught on the hop and Liverpool move quickly. I thought Liverpool were exceptional in their execution today.

One other thought. Forster cost us at least two goals today. I think it is imperative we make some sort of move in early January, as I believe his is largely broken at this point. His effort for that third was just terrible...
