Antonio Conte - officially NOT the coach of THFC

Players do
Players are always thinking of whose next and what’s around the corner

Not to the point that it affects their effort and concentration in training, if it does, it's them we should be sacking.

I can't see it myself, I think they are all wrapped up in their own preparation.

10 year contract. Announce it with a message on the famous whiteboard.

If, true, an amicable parting of ways on Tuesday morning, whatever the result on Monday night. Appoint Pochettino immediately, Preston away not a bad starting point for him.
The club has a week to bring in a few last minute budget deals, and maybe ship out some deadwood on loan.

A bit of new manager bounce might help us close the gap to 4th, or maybe, with the aid of some good draws we could get ourselves an FA Cup Final.

What I would not do if its all true is let this carry on until Summer, or else it is an 8th/9th place finish and no hope of a even a semi-final, let alone final

We want to clarify our position on Conte's future, after some quotes appeared online

Antonio Conte and Tottenham
board enjoy a good relationship. The Spurs' manager's contract will expire next June 30th, and the club has already offered him the possibiity to stay with a new deal. However, Conte is now focused on the present, he does not want to think about his future. So, he asked the club to put the situation in stand-by.

Conte is not living an easy moment, speaking about his private life: in the last few months, he has lost three good friends: Gian Piero Ventrone, Gianluca Vialli, Sinisa Mihajlovic. Some days ago, he said in press-conference: "Sometimes we place so much importance on work and put aside our families, the need to be with them. Then things like this happen and they make you think".

So, our feeling is that Antonio Conte, at the end of the current season, will ask the club to terminate this adventure and, maybe, come back to Italy, to stay closer to his family, with new opportunities. But, as things stand, what Conte asked Spurs is now to put his future in stand by, after their contract proposal: there are no negotiations ongoing and he hasn't asked yet to leave and he's fully focused on Tottenham.

I really don’t get the clamour to bring Poch back, would rather not ruin the enjoyment of his first tenure and he has hardly proven himself to be a top manager with the likes of PSG etc, all I see happening is a 2yr stint that ends poorly.

As much as the 1st term went well that’s not all down to Poch either, he inherited one of the best midfielders in the world in Dembele, who I think is one of the key reasons for our success under Poch. He also inherited a great defence (Jan/Walker) albeit I think he did sign Toby. He inherited one of the greatest strikers in the world too in Kane at his best (pre-injuries) who had started to prove himself under sherwood. Oh he also inherited Eriksen, so was it really Poch or was it more all the cards falling into place at the right time.

Disagree - he made most of those players. Dembele was struggling with releasing the ball/occasionally jobbing on the right-flank, Vertoghen and Walker were young with potential, Kane was still likely to be another Lee Barnard etc. Poch made those players by creating a nurturing base and by doing some serious coaching with them.

A young core of Romero, Spence, Udogie, Bentancur, Bissouma, Skipp, Sarr, Kulusevski, Gil and Ricarlison has twice the potential of the core Poch inherited in 2014.

Most/a lot of people wanted Dembele sold after Pochettinos first season and replaced with Bentaleb who had had a decent breakthrough season. Dembele was not the player he became when Poch arrived.

You clearly don’t remember Dembele destroying United while at Fulham which is what led us to sign him, but he was young so inconsistent in that role having previously played AM or striker in his early AZ days

Disagree tbh, Kane was earning his spot in last few games under Sherwood so hardly Barnard who stated how many times in the prem for us?

Verts and Walker were both pretty established, walker was made during his loan actually. Dembele had proven his ability in DM role at Fulham, albeit was inconsistent having spent most of his time further forward. Strange how time warps memories

I remember Winks doing something similar at the Bernabeau - doesn't mean we had one of the best CMs in the world on our books. As you say he was inconsistent, and didn't have a defined role in the team that was getting the best out of him - he flourished under Poch, to imply he was the player he became when Poch arrived is flat out wrong.

Most players have something about them, very few reach the heights of the best players in the game unless the potential is there within them already and a manager who unlocks that potential and have it delivered consistently can be considered to have done his part.

He formed an awesome partnership with Sandro for a season under AVB. He was kind of blamed by our fans for the dour football at the end of the AVB regime though and Took a while to get him back in under Poch, having to play further forward at times, until he was eventually moved back again to CM.

Ah Sandro, thought that guy would become amazing for us :)

Who is saying this? Not an official club statement.
