Antonin Kinsky

I ran out of podcasts and tried echo of glory
They had an interview with a Czech expert who knows the Slavia gk coach

We scouted Toni a lot, then Levy and others went to Prague on December 31st to convince him and get it done

What were you doing on December 31st? Not that.

Toni used/uses two coaches outside of Slavia to keep improving fast
That is what Deki and others do
It is the way to make big improvements
Work on frailties individually
Probably helps as well when your dad and grandad were keepers.

Old Daniel is a sly old fox....'sorry dear, ive erm just got to fly over to Prague for erm new years eve'

Forster has definitely gone at the end of the season.

Austin has impressed me the other night as well (I think he'll play Vs Tamworth)

We'll end up with Vic/Kinsky/Austin next season (Whiteman will depart) imo.

The keepers will fight it out BUT that will be trickier if we aren't back in Europe.

If Vic loses that fight and isn't happy then so be it. Austin can be no.2 for a while.

I think, being 21, Kinsky would be ok with being no 2 for a bit.

The competition for places is good, and they'll be pushing each other everyday.
Agreed. Let's just see how it plays out.

I think Kinsky would be OK with being no 2 for a bit. But I don't think he came here to be our backup for 2-3 years.

From the way he started last night kinsky looks like a first choice. He's been superior to most other keepers in Europe thisbyear on some key stats, albeit in a very average league, and I'd say if I was Vicario I'd be hoping he's not too good for the next month as he may find he doesn't walk back into the team when fit.

Which in a healthy squad is exactly the way it should be.

Was anyone else here gagging for one of the CBs to pass him the ball in those first couple of minutes just to help get his first touch out of the way and get rid of any nerves!? We seemed to have loads of early possession and played it around at the back but didn't use him for the first few minutes and I was getting all agitated thinking his first touch would be picking the ball out of the back of the net lol!

...Might be just me though ;)

Let's say he does well for the next couple months and even stays in to the end of the season (even when Vicario is fit again) and actually ends up cementing his place as no1 by the end of the season... Do you think that would be the end of Vicario, and we'd cash in instead of having a Raya/Ramsdale situation?? It's a weird prospect isnt it?, Sell Vicario and cash in then are we back to Forster and Austin or are we getting rid of both of those for sure and possibly bringing in another new no.2 etc.

The GK situation is so crazy right now. All ifs and buts I suppose, Depends if Kinsky does well or not doesn't it?

He's been brought in as competition for #1 spot, something Forster/Austin never were.

Vic is a very good keeper and likely will see the competition as something to push him and both of them.

3 Cup competitions, and especially number of games in Europa means there is room for 2 proper keepers. I'd suspect Kinsky would be ok with being #2 and getting cup games for a year or two, if in two years we want to sell Vic and look at the progress of Keeley/Gunter, that might be a thing.

But it’s his shirt right now. Are you saying that once Vic is back in the next couple of months Kinsky should be no.2? Or are you talking more broadly that he would be ok as no.2 generally?
