Antonin Kinsky

Comes in on a Monday, 21 years old, makes debut two days later against arguably the best team in the world at the moment - keeps a clean sheet and dances around with the ball at his feet pinging passes around looking completely confident doing it.

Let's see what happens next, but that takes some balls of steel to pull off. Promising!

Excellent tonight. Very impressed.
There was the slight fumble from a long shot that was wobbling through the air and I had a little Massimo Taibi wobbler for a second... and the pass which clipped Gray's heel... but he got away with both and was superb otherwise.

If we can find cheap young players like him that are good enough to oust the first teamers, that is how we can really progress fast.
I really thought he was going to blast it against Gray and it go in....pure luck it didn't...and I was so happy he didn't have to suffer such a moment.

He's hit the ground running.

I know keepers, and good ones, all come with a wide range of character traits but I think I'd much prefer my keeper to be vocal just when necessary, and in the main instill my confidence in him via his goalkeeping abilities. Akin to Alisson and Ederson. I know there have been greats who are super vocal, like Schemical, but the neurotic twitching and chattering of Vicario is a negative on balance imo. I much prefer the former type.

I know when I played it was the latter that I preferred
Someone who could see things I couldn’t and told me where to be

He's Ange's philosophy in a 6.3" body.

What a debut. Everything he did hit its target. Only 21 which is nursery age for a goal keeper. And he will occasionally miss his mark, and we have to be patient with that. What was impressive was his speed. He doesn't think. He doesn't ponder. He pitches the ball around the place with instantaneous verve. Act first, think later. Great when it works, occasionally it might not. But I am all for it. What a star in the making.

Let's say he does well for the next couple months and even stays in to the end of the season (even when Vicario is fit again) and actually ends up cementing his place as no1 by the end of the season... Do you think that would be the end of Vicario, and we'd cash in instead of having a Raya/Ramsdale situation?? It's a weird prospect isnt it?, Sell Vicario and cash in then are we back to Forster and Austin or are we getting rid of both of those for sure and possibly bringing in another new no.2 etc.

The GK situation is so crazy right now. All ifs and buts I suppose, Depends if Kinsky does well or not doesn't it?

Add in some new wingers to aim at rather than Son or Johnson and his quick releases could be a real weapon

Nah
I like the constant talk
Means I know where he is too
As we have no vocal leaders in that defence it’s key IMO
Could see last night kinky took charge and told players where he wanted them in a similar way
Thats why I was glad to hear he spoke good English in the post match interview as there was a couple of times he was organising the wall and it looked like the player couldn't understand what he was wanting

Forster has definitely gone at the end of the season.

Austin has impressed me the other night as well (I think he'll play Vs Tamworth)

We'll end up with Vic/Kinsky/Austin next season (Whiteman will depart) imo.

The keepers will fight it out BUT that will be trickier if we aren't back in Europe.

If Vic loses that fight and isn't happy then so be it. Austin can be no.2 for a while.

I think, being 21, Kinsky would be ok with being no 2 for a bit.

The competition for places is good, and they'll be pushing each other everyday.

I ran out of podcasts and tried echo of glory
They had an interview with a Czech expert who knows the Slavia gk coach

We scouted Toni a lot, then Levy and others went to Prague on December 31st to convince him and get it done

What were you doing on December 31st? Not that.

Toni used/uses two coaches outside of Slavia to keep improving fast
That is what Deki and others do
It is the way to make big improvements
Work on frailties individually
