I'm still not convinced by Ange's tactics or his inability to adapt to what everyone can see. That said, everyone said the same of Arteta two years ago and Klopp in the first year or two, so maybe it is worth seeing where we are at the end of next season.
That's why I say I'll judge at the end of Xmas. A bad Xmas and we're in pre- Redknapp territory.

I don't want to say too much but I believe there were a couple of players that Ange really wanted in the summer who were happy to move to Spurs but the club didn't deliver them.

That’s not gonna work if they get CL because they can’t afford the drop off of quality like they can in the Con league
 
We know that the way Ange's team plays, (the amount of running, number of sprints) there will be more injuries. So we need a squad which takes account of that. Ours is clearly not big enough for two games a week. As for players like bergvall - he may well grown into a PL standard footballer, but right now he is pretty near a waste of space. Ange (or any manager) needs proper support, not players for the future.

I think there is alot of that here. Porro is really poor, naïve and weak, I actually think Udogie is good but he is knackered and young.

I overestimated a number of our players, some a likeable, some work really hard, there is a real lack of star turn in there though.

Indeed, the way that a portion of the Arsenal fan base behaved towards Wenger was appalling. Even sadder than that though is that we've got just as many macarons following us who would've behaved the same.

I still struggle to comprehend how there were a few on here who wanted Pochettino sacked. I take no satisfaction at how bad things have been since he went.

Thought Bergvall did well (again) when he came on. Took responsibility, was good on the ball. Up against tired legs and all that, but he did what he could.

Time will tell of far off he is getting more meaningful minutes and starts, may still take time. But it seems that he's going in a good direction. Same with Gray.

I also cringe at last nights "fat" calls of Ange, its pathetic.

There is a massive lack of siege mentality at this club from the fans, embarrassingly so

I have noticed he likes to give them a head start then work on his pace to recover, rather than defend with his "head"
 
Just saw some quotes "I've no interest in what the fans think"....he really doesn't help himself sometimes. And i think I've just stumbled on it for me. Teams and managers i instantly felt a connection with and felt really positive overall despite inconsistent results:
- Jol
- Redknapp
- AVB (was gutted it didn't work out)
- Poch

The rest - nah.

I'm not sure there's ever been a sense of "everyone pulling in the same direction" under Postecoglu. Maybe I thought in the early weeks of his first season I was wrong.....but that thought dissapearref and hasn't come back. I wasn't bothered one bit about our result last night and wouldn't be bothered if he was sacked tomorrow. I feel totally indifferent to Spurs right now, because I know we are going to win enough to stay away from danger but lose too many to achieve anything. And that's something I feel like is actually inherent in the tactics and managerial choices rather than purely down to "we need better players."

I remember Ali Gold saying that Postecoglu really needed a proper no. 9 for his system to work and Solanke was the one he really wanted and just wait and see what Ange.ball will look like with him in the team.....I'm still waiting Ali, still waiting .....

Where did you see that quote?
I ask because Ali Gold did his usual transcript of the press conference, where this was said in relation to the fans :

Do you feel like the majority of supporters are behind you?

They're not behind me, they're behind the club. I've got no interest in who's behind me. You got to figure the ones who travel to Bournemouth are pretty hardcore supporters, they weren't happy with what they saw, they felt like they needed to give me some feedback, I took the feedback on board and we move on.

What is your message to the fans?

As I said last night, no message. I'm here, I'm going to fight to make sure we bring success to this football club. Nothing really changes. Whether there's doubt, whether that's internally or externally, it just makes my resolve even stronger to get it right.

Does it concern you that the fans are not seeing the progress you get to see in working with the players every day?

Again, the supporters are the supporters, they're invested in this club whoever is in charge, whichever the playing group is. They will feel what they feel, whether they can see what we're trying to do or not. I can't change that materially without there being evidence on the pitch that they can see. If they can't see it at the moment then it's up to me to make sure they can see it.

You copped some unacceptable abuse last night and lots of frustration. Even though you had eight players out, you want to win every week and it’s one win in six, how much are you hurting right now?

I’m not hurting, I am determined and that’s all. I don’t want to say it is unacceptable because like I said, it is what it is. I've struggled to warm to him, and I think it's for similar reasons.

I think he often shoots himself unnecessarily in the foot (e.g. the comments around the Emirates Marketing Project game/Arsenal league title tilt at the end of last season) and there is an arrogance about how he approaches the playing of the game that is hard for me to love.

To be fair, I think he has been selectively quoted with the "I've no interest in what the fans think..." comment, but even going across and reacting the way he did last night was silly - and so easy to avoid.

I too feel a bit indifferent at the moment. I watch us in a kind of detached way - always expecting to concede the first goal and then waiting to see what sort of reaction we give from there.

I really do want him to turn it around, but it's hard to see a way back now, I think. If he's lost the away fans it's a long road to salvation.
