Hmm, sounds potentially a bit worrying if we go to a back four and have Porro on the right and him on the left.

A lot of ifs and hopefully both can be excellent fullbacks as well as wingbacks, however it'd presumably have to be a system with a lot of midfield steel to accommodate them.

It still seems odd loaning out Udogie if he was someone specifically in mind for Conte as we all knew he wouldn't be sticking around for the long haul. Remember an interview where Udogie said he was hugely excited about playing for Conte, let's hope he's not too disheartened if he turns up and it's Nuno mk 2 running the show.

Edit - An afterthought regarding another one of our loanees, isn't it just one of those fascinating sexy things that N'dombele looks like he's nailed on to win a title at another club despite looking like anything other than a winner here....So typical.

Was there anything concrete on an obligation to buy based on league position? Feel like getting our unwanted loanees sold quickly would be rather helpful come the summer.

He is still young, and and there doesn't seem to be any demand on either wing back to defend.

He strolls back when they don't have the ball, but can explode into a high press at times.

Strong and quick with the ball, and passing looks good as well.

I don't think we would have signed him if we didn't include the loan back

Where has all the talk about us investing in a belgium football club gone?

We should be looking to loan out 4 or 5 of our best young players to one team next season.

Liverpool dominated with 2 attacking full backs that couldn’t defend.
Yes, but they had a world class CB and usually two dedicated DMs to keep it tight.

Now that VvD has dropped a level, they're not exactly looking like world beaters any more.

Liverpool in the league for many seasons were where we are now... Top class strikers, average midfield and rubbish defence, they then went and brought one of the best CB's in the world and were elevated to the top two in the league...now that he is in decline they have reverted back to where they should be.

Only difference is they won a few cup's in that time.

Every top team needs top quality CB's ...we need to find one (or two).
