Lee would explode over here imo
Really wanted him before psg
And what exactly has Lee done over Cunha or Mbeumo??? Please I’d like a bite … he would explode here right? So mbeumo or Cunha have done nothing in the premier league yet you are getting moist about Lee who has done nothing in comparison

The premier League isn't the be all and end all. If he tastes Lee more highly he's entitled to.

Well one will get you goals and other one will get you goals also … with both being hard working players.

I can imagine you getting wet about some average player joining us on £20k a week.

They need investment and are backing the manager. I think both could be very good signings for them and most other teams in the prem.
It is often the case on here that people look negatively at rival's signings, and almost always positive about the prospects of our signings whether known players or not - part human nature I guess.

Both Mbuemo and Cunha would walk into our team, pretty sure @billyiddo named them as his two ideal signings week or two ago in a thread about prospective signings for us....

No it's more than that, that's what happens when you're one of the biggest clubs in the world.

They have won far more during their 'baren' period than a club like us during one of our best periods (according to league postion). At some point they will be back at the top again, and players will be happy to come in thinking they will be part of making that happen and of course the wages are a factor but the biggest and best clubs pay the top wages like in any sport....
I would say though that the biggest and most successful clubs tend to pay the most and the most talented or at least perceived most talented and in demand players also command the biggest wages.

There's no real way around that if you are trying to compete for the very best of the best players. Of course the alternative model is you buy them before they are stars but that little bit harder to achieve without the correct analysis tools.

Mbuemo is top class. Cunha, on the other hand, is good when he's on, but a terrible team player. Neymar mk.II.
Exactly what United don't need. I'm 99% sure it won't work long term with Amorim.

That’s absolutely fine if he does … but has poo pood the other twos achievements … looking at it … I know who I’d rather have in my premier league team since we play in the premier league

But neither of those players started in the PL. They both had to come over here at some point. PL experience doesn't mean anything. The quality of the actual player is what matters.

Very weird reaction
Where have i said i wouldn’t take cunha or mbuemo?
Why not add in yamal because I haven’t said I what him yet
If your referring to my comment that United have been offering mega money to players that age by done anything tell me where I’m wrong ?

They can afford to pay more
But the most successful clubs are smart with it
United have been offering quadruple peoples salaries when they didn’t need too
It’s daft

I’d rather have a player that have done it in the premier league vs one that could do it in the premier league. Better players have failed in this league and gone away to do some magical things in other leagues.

Indeed. If it was us signing those two players there would be a huge amount of excitement on here.

I think Man Utd will do quite well next season. They have a good manager who will have an entire pre-season with his team. They are also making good signings and it seems they are also making them early so that the manager gets the full pre-season with them. They also have the luxury of no European games so will be less fatigued than many of the other PL teams.

Fair play to Man Utd's owners going out and making big money signings even though their revenue will take a big dive next season.

Mbuemo is class
I can show you where i suggested him on here about 18 months ago but I was sure pool was signing him
Cunha can be class but by all accounts does his own thing

Will be interesting to see what they try to do at CF and wing back
They don’t seem to have any balance in their team so far
I do agree he is a good coach

So we should only sign players who have already played in the PL? So no Eriksen, either VDV, Romero, Modric etc or De Bruyne, Aguero, Hazard etc?

Not only is this a very short sighted view it's also massively limiting. We aren't going to be signing desirable players from the likes City, United, Arsenal and Chelsea and it's even debatable that we could sign a desirable player from the likes of Villa or Saudi Sportswashing Machine. So essentially what you're suggesting is we only sign players from the teams who usually finish in the bottom 12 of the PL! That's not only a small pool it's also with lots of substandard players.

I get it, you're a little afraid or weary of players who haven't played in the PL but what you suggest would put us even further behind as our rivals will sign quality players from abroad who have never played in the PL.

Should just be buy the players who are the best fit for our needs
Our out first 11 the only ones who came from the prem are solanke and Maddison plus Johnson if he is in it

Bit of a stretch. Lee played 462 mins in the CL with zero goals and zero assists. Might aswell say Brandon Austin just won the Europa League.

I’m a fan of Lee’s but if you were looking for a player to hit the ground running, almost always you’d want to buy someone who’s produced numbers in the Premier League
- which = £££. I know you know this and I know you rate Mbuemo highly.

Mbuemo and Cunha 49 goal contributions (goal or assists) combined in the PL alone last year. With no European football, they will go well in the PL for Utd I’m sure.

Absolutely not denying that PL experience can be valuable. But I think profile fit, quality and mentality are way more important.

We've made quite a few signings of non PL proven players in recent years who've settled in really quickly. VDV, Udogie, Bentancur, Kulusevski etc. We've also seen PL proven players move elsewhere in the PL to a system/team where they don't fit as well and struggle.

But factually correct though 🤣
I rate all these players because the are very good
Not sure where cunha would for fit for us
Mbuemo is class and would be great
Lee imo has joined psg at a time where others have came in and took the place he would have wanted. He looked a top player in the making in Spain and is another who plays with his head up (rare for wide players imo)
Can see him going to a decent side and people going he is the next Sonny
