100%. The full backs haven’t been as suicidally high since before the Liverpool game. Think probably as far back as Wolves.Your first paragraph is key. Of course suddenly pundits are saying we only changed today LOL..:

We had 2 players holding and a back 4 that didn’t go mad

We haven't played like this at all Steff except against Liverpool in the cup.I just wish we could enjoy a win...if you look in recent weeks we have been doing pretty much this. Individual mistakes/jitters have cost us. The difference today was in having two players at CB who are comfortable on the ball (I hold my hand up, I did not think Drags lack of ability on the ball hurt as much as it obviously has). Kinsky has been an important addition. Having a fit CF has been important.

We have not pushed our FBs high for a few weeks now my friend. We have also looked to sit deeper for large stretches of games in that time. The reason people are seeing it today is because we won.We haven't played like this at all Steff except against Liverpool in the cup.

nah, they were suicidally high against Leicester at times
Sorry to disagree Steff. Today we sat deeper with the defensive pivot sitting deeper and holding their position rather than joining the press and being caught out of position. Agree re the fullbacks though. We have not pushed our FBs high for a few weeks now my friend. We have also looked to sit deeper for large stretches of games in that time. Massive difference between running from deep onto a pass and just being ahead of the play. Not much tactical difference in that from what we've been seeing in recent weeks imo. Just that it worked this time. No individual errors that cost us and we defended well.
Had Brentford won the ball and countered from the buildup to the 2-0 it would be all why is Sarr so high up the pitch...
