Up the Spurs.............
You mean Wissa presumably?I think their XG was quite high, that Mbuemo chance probably stacked that?
Alternatively a bit unlucky in some of those other games?
Thought it was a close game that could have gone either way. That's been true for quite a few of our losses too.
Getting the first goal was vital.
@Baleforce will be happy.@thfcsteff
2 shots, 1 save 2 goals as 1 was an OG.
I honestly think you make your own luck. You don't get deflections without taking shots, you don't get a lucky bounce with making the pass etc.Don’t think it’s an alternative thing - I’d say we were both luckier today and unluckier in other games.
But we did have a high line at time today, Brentford countered quite a few times against it. We also had the line super high against Elsborg (understandable of course), the entire team was in their half. I think we are a little more controlled in when we do it but we haven't actually changed. Spence was upfield a fair bit today.We have not pushed our FBs high for a few weeks now my friend. We have also looked to sit deeper for large stretches of games in that time. The reason people are seeing it today is because we won.

I kind of think it applies that way also. If you close the player down you might pressure them and put them off etc. obviously it's only to a degree but I do kind of feel like your positive actions are what make all those tiny differences.I’m talking about the luck of how well your opponents take their chances, which I think is indeed luck (aside from putting pressure on them while they shoot etc)
He generally comes across as a decent fella. He's certainly no Arteta.Just seen Franks post game interview, was very positive and respectful towards us.

I generally agree. I think the difference today is that Brentford had to work for their chances as opposed to us gifting them.Personally I don’t think our performance today was better than any other match - just got lucky that Brentford didn’t take their chances, and we got a weird own goal. And I say that as an Ange fan and general optimist!
Very happy with the 3 pts though. Hopefully gives everyone a lift, especially going into Liverpool.
That's a good point. If they had scored from any of their chances I don't think I could complain. They were all well worked rather than the usual nonsense gifts we hand out week to week.I generally agree. They look very differentI thought it was Mbuemo in the second-half on our 6 yard box?
I have much love for that lovely brave man.
We were more solid without him IMO.
