The transfer thread

I just dreamed that we signed a dutch striker called Houtens after his move nearly being hijacked by ManU - X in totalt meltdown when confirmed. Watch this space! You heard it here first! Astral ITK!

fudging hell it's quiet and boring right now.

We had links to Dragusin & Porro well ahead of their recent January moves tbf
I think there was some context for those.

IIRC Porro was Conte on maneuvers, basically pressurising the board to pay up.

A Dragusin was his agent giving everyone blow by blow commentary as we were battling with Bayern.

So third party, rather than top table leaks.

It's like some of you never learn, placing so much importance on 'links'. They almost never happen, whether it's a quiet or really busy time with links it means absolutely nothing regarding what's actually happening.....

Odobert and Kinsky came out of the blue, for sure, and those are our latest two transfers - so thats a positive, and absolutely prove your point! Historically though, I can think of very few transfers that weren't preceded by reports/links/rumours - even Ange admitted we were after Kolo Muani only a few days ago.

Money will help us with attracting promising youngsters but any top established player would have to be a complete mercenary to consider joining us right now! I'm ok with that assuming we spend on more top youngsters. I'm not expecting or wanting any 'Memphis Depay's for example

There are a lot of very good players out there that would want to play for a club like Tottenham. You don't need to go for the known 50-100 m€ players. The difference in quality from those, to a more unknown player is very small to none.
