Osvaldo finding out that just because you lie on the ground in the EPL doesn't mean anyone will pay you the blindest bit of attention or generally care less. Just get up.

I hope Southampton can nick one here, but Neville is right - a pretty damn underwhelming start to the season over first 4 rounds.
 
West Ham managed a total of 13 points away from home last season. Don't think they'll do much better this time around.
 
What a joyless, ****ehawk game! West Ham are so stodgy and old school British, like that toffee treacle sponge and custard they gave us at school in the 70s...

That's something that's been happening for years. Or at least the first time that I heard about it was years ago.

absolute snoozefest overall

teams are so well organized and there is a distinct lack of decent attacking play

We can build on this idea. He can have a can of pepper spray to discourage players from complaining in his face (why have I an image of John Terry in my head?).

I thought Southampton were alright, they try to play football most of the time and they have some very exciting players. I thought they were unlucky not to get a winner.

It's just that even if one team tries like that when up against an Allardyce team the game will stay boring as long as it's 0-0 at least.
 
Had mixed feelings when Bale scored on his debut for Real. Wanted Lamela to score for us first. Hope Lamela will somehow go on to score more goals than Bale this season. Also, found it strange Bale scored a tap-in goal for Real. Don't remember Bale ever scoring a tap-in goal for us. Almost all of his goals for us was either through sheer quality or long range efforts.

Helps that Madrid have a great passer in Modric to play accurate through balls into the area (something we were sorely lacking last season) plus a right back in Carvajal who is capable of finding a team mate with his crosses.

Would've been great to see Bale link up with Erikson but hopefully Lamela proves to be a worthy heir.
