He's made some decent runs for Inter and has generally been involved in what little forward play they have had. I think he would have done a job for us but they were reportedly asking for a fair bit of money i think. Not worth the large outlay. Zarate who i believe is another we have been linked with in the past year has been rubbish.

I like the look of Xhaka at Basle. Impresses me whenever I see him play. A player we should have a look at if we aren't already.

I agree, looks quality, especially for someone his age.
Problem for us is that he plays in a position where he would really struggle to get games. Buying good youngsters just because they are good without a plan for how they will fit into the squad and team isn't really our thing.

The first half of the Basle v Bayern game was great entertainment. Shoudl have been 2-2, not 0-0 following that half.

yOU KNOW WHAT IT IS? ITS JUST BORING. Maybe as I dont have any allegiance to any of th four teams but seriously Spurs lit up CL last year and would have lit it up this year.

fudging boring, Basel fudged me over on my bets as well. Oh well!
The Champions League IS boring. Group stages are just filler material. Big teams smashing small teams. Sometimes you will get a decent group if it's a new side from one of the big leagues. The last stages are becoming boring as well because it's mostly the same teams you've seen dozens of times before and the smaller teams usually use some very boring tactics. Key word: BORING.
Whenever there's a draw they always talk about possible rematches from last season. I don't want that, we already saw them play each other a year ago.
