Do you guys think the City-Porto game will be any good? I'm thinking it might be as Porto will have to go out and attack. Gonna watch the start and see how it pans out...

Aguerro and Nasri having a laugh at line-up, clearly showing they think the game's in the bag.

To quote Gore Vidal, our old friend hubris is back in town.

I reckon we should be in for Varela, by my reckoning only has a year left on his contract, really impressed nearly every time I've seen him. competition as winger for Lennon and could also do 4-3-3 pretty happily

Pity Porto have banjaxed themselves so early in this tie because they can put together some great passing moves.

We really should be keeping tabs on the entire Porto squad. But yes, Varela looks good.

I wonder if any English teams will make a move for Moutinho in the summer, think he would do great for any of the top teams apart from us and partly City (we don't need him).

Entertaining first half, impressed with Porto, played some good football and didn't fade after that early goal.

I think they'll be pretty adamant that Hulk and Moutinho won't leave for anything but crazy money, so a move for Varela would be nicely under the radar.

Having said that, I don't think I've ever seen any Portugese league football, so I don't know how he performs week in week out and it is probably quite cosy living in Portugal winning pretty much everything each year, doubt coming to London to play in a supposedly stronger league without a guaranteed starting place might not be in his plans...

They do play some great football but as commentators have said, no final product or not enough players in the box.

I've never understood the whole 'I support English teams in Europe' why? Cos I definitely don't!!!

Me too. I hate John Terry, Rooney and most of the players who play for United, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal. How am I expected to go from wanting them to fail every week to passionately supporting them just because they're playing Bayern Munich or Barca?

Pizzaro doesn't look half bad either. I guess with him coming in it means the Hargreaves experiment hasn't really worked.

I do like those kind of signings though, getting some experience in the squad to take a bit of the workload of other players...

Edit: I'm sure it annoys many City fans as well, but the amount of fans leaving early is just astounding. I just don't get it.
