The Goon Thread

The Arsenal fans were so dreadful, barely any support and the noise when a player did something wrong was so intense with the generally quiet atmosphere that it clearly affected their team negatively. They drained the confidence of the players. Maybe players should be stronger, but Giroud missing that big chance was a direct result of his earlier "abuse", even the big cheers when he was hauled off was something I couldn't believe. So many fans had left before the end also, for what is their biggest game of the season???

I sometimes slag off our fans but we are nowhere near as bad as Arsenal fans.

Can still see them getting a jammy late 2-0 win for the return leg :(

But for now; that was a brilliant performance from the French side.

2-0 wont be enough for them (away goals). they need to score a minimum of 3.

Ah brick, of course.. Forgot about that, I know some competitions are removing the away goals rule.

Even so - I could still see them doing enough to progress, regardless of how tough it seems right now.. And they'll do it in the jammiest way possible; say two offside goals and a 95th minute penalty, something like that. fudgers.

The way that match ended was priceless. When Chambermaid scored I was thinking - fudge here we go, equaliser on the way. The 3rd goal was a kick in the balls just when they needed it least. I felt a warm comforting sense of schadenfreude when it went in :p

Last team to turn around a 2 goal deficit from a 1st leg home game in CL apparently was in 1969 ... so not likely

Beaten very badly by us, very badly beaten by Monaco, I think they have some problems

Just waiting for Neymar to pop up and say that yesterday's loss still shows how good a job Wenger is doing considering the big bucks in Monaco that he is up against, blah, blah, blah...

its just one game. thats football. sometime/often you can lose to a weaker side than yourself. whats your point? we lost tonight, as did lpool to sides that are probably weaker. thats the beauty of football.

such delicious irony in Berbs scoring, so nayim-esque, one of those days when this unpredictable game really puts a smile on your face sometimes

Arsenal's Jack Wheelchair has had a "minor procedure to stop ankle discomfort", says boss Arsene Wenger.
The midfielder, 23, has not played since hurting his ankle in his side's 2-1 defeat by Manchester United in November.
He first had surgery in November and was on the bench for last Saturday's win at Crystal Palace.
Wheelchair has now had two pins removed from the joint but Wenger said he would be missing for "days, not weeks".

Seems a bit severe just to treat a liking to the Colombian...

If Arsenal lose the tie eventually, i will come back here and use it to explain my point even more clearly than i could do now...

CIty linked with Spack

But the Premier League champions are concerned about their quota of home-produced players and are considering moves for midfielders Jack Wheelchair, 23, from Arsenal and Everton's Ross Barkley, 21 as well as West Ham defender Aaron Cresswell
