Jacques Kallis retires like a man, announcing he'll retire from test cricket at the END of the current series.

Another true legend gone. He's often forgotten when talking about Tendulkar, Lara, Ponting but arguably considering his batting and bowling exploits he was just as, if not more prolific.

It was actually good banter yesterday at the MCG (over 90,000 attended). The Aussies in the standing area managed some songs other than Aussie Aussie Aussie, Oi, Oi, Oi and it eventually drew some volume out of the Barmy Army.

Song of the day was directed at the bogan (redneck) Aussies wearing vests and mullets who by now were smashed on 3.5% beer, "Did you shop in Matalan!"

Have loved my 2 days at the G, what a sporting arena it truely is, and I was there when we finally won a day in the series, yesterday was brilliant, hope we can plough on today !!

Yesterday was one of the best sporting days live Ive ever witnessed, were literally 5 rows down from Jimmy Saville and the trumpeter, the fans support was incredible yesterday, taken so many pucker piccies and video's

The Aussie fans are simply drongo's, zero banter, BA have like 20 songs and the Aussies reply back with 3-0, 3-0, 3-0

Its been funny seeing so many of them turfed out especially yesterday, those mid-strength beers are too strong and they shut the bars at 5pm hahahah !!!

Met some wicked people, English and Aussie's, especially this lovely Aussie family on xmas day who we spent the whole afternoon with, they made xmas day away from my family a bit more bearable

I do have to say though so many of the BA are complete and utter Northern Simpletons hahaha !!

1pm - Chant Broad is a **** bloke

1.30pm - Do more mexican waves

2.00pm - 3 more mid-strengths

2.30pm - More mexican waves and chants of 3-0, 3-0,

3.00pm - Beer snake, get chucked out

Man Of The Series Brad Haddin saves the day again. If we can get within 50, he'd have done wonders.

Loved the Anderson v Lyon over. Bill Lawry on the commentary has been scathing of Anderson, calling him a stupid bowler. Hard to argue with that over, all short stuff Lyon swinging and missing. Bowl on the stumps and you guys would be batting by now.
