Not the everyday situation. Have to remember his lovely wife won a bout with breast cancer. Now they sleep apart most nights while she pursues her TV career in Germany and he enjoys the revitalization of his football career. If he wanted to be with her more often, wouldn't begrudge him in the least. Life's short.

He's been wonderful to watch with Spurs. Brought a match winner's attitude that has helped move the club forward. Very appreciative of what he's done so far.

I've seen 8-9mil on teletext which is definitely not good business. There certainly is a lot of brick on twitter about him leaving though. Bugger.

VdV is an awesome player.. but he's 29? and seems to be injured very often and can't seem to last the whole game. I would be happy if he was sold for $15 - 20m, no way we're gonna get that sort of returns after this window..

I have a horrible conspiracy theory grounded in nothing at all but the feeling in my own bones that the only reason we got* Dembele was because Utd agreed they wouldn't go in for him...

Financially it would be great, but in football terms we would be going backwards if we purely:
Lose Modric and VdV
Buy Dembele and Sigg

So everything is still in the balance. Levy has got a huge task to move us 'net' forwards in three days after losing such talents.

I do rate Sigg and Dembele massively, but would we be a better side or not?

More needed please Daniel!

Fee agreed, looks like he will be ours very soon. Decent buy, but not a replacement for Modric. Not sure how many attacking midfielders we need, suggests someone might be going the other way.
