Don't mean to tinkle on this fantastic (if actually true) Dembele news, but the gathering VDV-to-Hamburg vibe counterbalances it with worry.
If that's actually happening, then Siggy has some big fudging boots to fill when it comes to (a) general creativity/making something from nothing/saving games at the last possible moment and (b) beating his chest in front of the goalside cameras like a marauding, drunken beserker when scoring versus the scum.
Not to mention the small matter of (c) scoring the old goals.
Dear lord above, I fervently pray we don't ship out one of the few players on our books with a proven ability to actually do this. He is a fudging legend.
On the other hand, if we use the cash to sign Benzema and Llorente, I might forgive you.
