+1. Neither of them were available when we beat them 5-0 at the Lane.
That was a freak game, still remember the Saha love-in afterwards - i.e. the second coming of Andy Cole

Sigurdsson played as a holding midfielder last night for Iceland, Lars Lagerback seems to think he is quite useful that way. I still think that him and VDV are almost identical, as VDV could also play deep but is more utilized when playing behind the striker
Now is not a time to aim for the future now is a time to just bring in someone who can do a job. I guess the same reason why harry had to bring in stop gaps.
Have we signed anyone yet? I have a monster of a hangover. Only helped by the fact that RVP is off to United. I need some good transfer news.
Goons might also lose Song to Barcelona
Bilbao hope Spurs and Arsenal will enter bidding war for Llorente after player departures

Athletic Bilbao hope to spark a North London Derby as they look to cash in on striker Fernando Llorente.
Robin van Persie’s move to Manchester United and Luka Modric’s imminent switch to Real Madrid will free up funds for Arsenal and Tottenham to attack the transfer market.
Juventus have already opened talks with Athletic for Llorente, but Spanish newspaper Marca claims Arsenal will now step up their own bid.
Tottenham have also long admired the 6ft 5in centre forward and desperately need to sign a striker.
Llorente’s contract expires next summer and he has told bosses he will not sign an extension.
Juventus had hope to sign him for less than £16million, but Athletic’s public stance is that they won’t deal for less than his £28.2m buy-out clause.
The 27-year-old shone last season, scoring 30 goals in 53 appearances, including against Manchester United both home and away and Athletic surpassed them in the Europa League last 32.
Meanwhile, Athletic could also lose midfielder-turned-defender Javi Martinez after Bayern Munich reportedly signalled their attention to meet his £31.4m release clause.
The 23-year-old was Barcelona’s top target this summer, but they turned to Arsenal’s Alex Song when after setting a budget of less than £20m for Martinez.
Both Manchester clubs and Liverpool also like the Spain international, but Bayern seem to have blown all their rivals out of the water.

He is over rated anyway and just another way for the Goons to up their coffers like they always do.

Valencia have rejected a mammoth offer from Tottenham to sign their star striker Roberto Soldado, according to reports in Spain.
Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas is desperate to bolster his attacking options, with Jermain Defoe currently the only senior striker at his disposal after the failure to agree a permanent deal for Emmanuel Adebayor.
Valencian paper Superdeporte claim that Spurs were even willing to pay Soldado's €30million buyout-clause, but the player has no desire to leave his current side.
Soldado scored 27 goals in all competitions for Valencia last season, with his 17 goals in La Liga helping his side to a third-place finish.
That caught the attention of Tottenham but, with the player himself keen to remain at the Mestalla, Villas-Boas will be forced to continue his search for a new striker elsewhere.

Surely you mean 40 pages until Crouch returns? 8-[
How can Valencia reject when we were offering the buy out clause ?
The article suggests it was the player himself who rejected us - i.e. they can't force him to move
How can Valencia reject when we were offering the buy out clause ?
Are they legally binding for other clubs than Spanish ones anyway?
