Anyone got any guesses on the 'dark blue' bull brick which was posted?

French player? (please dont mention Benzema) Remy? Or ws he a Harry player?

In fact the more I think about it, the more i like the idea of Berbatov-- Berbatov and VDV (or another) combination would work really well. Berbatov has something to prove having missed out on regular first team football. And although he is 31 his game was never built on pace.. more on very long shirt sleeves and looking moody...

I'd much prefer Berba to Carroll. He wouldn't be the fans favourite obviously but if faced with the option of Berbatov or nothing, yes I'd take him back.

And yes, I'm a slag.

Actually, Remy didn't featured in the starting XI or on the bench for Marseilles yesterday. He was probably just injured or sick, but we could always stretch it and think we're onto something. ;)

Now let me see, Adam, you thought Dark Blue could mean he was from a France as it is their national colour.... well, you'd be wrong.... tonight, we were looking at the initials....D....B

Now you are getting excited....it's obviously not David Bentley.... we've got him already.... could D B stand for the Dog's gonads? Some worldly new star ready to eclipse last season's find Mr Blue and Yellow?

Adam, you would be wrong....

POTL is fully expecting the exciting signing D B to be .......

Dusty Bin!

this from Harry Hotspur..........I know I know, but

Good evening.

Daniel Sturridge.

I’m told negotiations have been ongoing for about a week and where we’re at is that as of this evening a loan could be done, but we would prefer to buy the Second Hand Fridge frontman.
How do I feel about this? Thank you for asking. I think he’s good stuff. the interesting dynamic here is as per André Villas-Boas, the Team GB boy has plenty to prove and where better to do it than in the Lilywhite.
Sturridge at virtually any other Premier League outfit would be a first choice, first team regular. But having £50m quids worth of chairman’s darling in front of you can hold even the most dedicated of chaps back.
...................

isnt a loan a no no because he only has a year left on his deal? anyway, as a permanent, id take him. But will Chelsea want to deal with us

Where would Sturridge play? He isn't better than Lennon and he isn't the sort of striker to hold the ball up and lead the line? Seems like a stupid buy if true for someone who isn't needed.

Berbatov and Sturridge, the moodiest partnership in history

exciting as heck though:)

If we're going to play 4-3-3 eventually that would be debatable.

I'd take him as a backup Striker and a backup/starting Right forward.

Lennon is too goal shy

in the 4-2-3-1 system, Lennon is the weakest at scoring out of all the attackers. With one striker, the 3 behind need to contribute big time. Bale, Sigurdsson, and Sturridge would offer plenty of goals

But I'd still have Lennon, sure Sturridge would add more goals but defensively and in terms of being an all round threat, i'd have Lennon over Sturridge any day of the week in the position. Back up striker, I'd have him, he's quick a clever player and a decent finisher, I think if we shipped Defoe out and got Sturridge it, it would definitely be an improvement.

In a 4-3-3 the forwards don't have as much defensive responsibility, so that issue with Sturridge is gone.

In a 4-2-3-1? I'm not entirely sure..
