I really wish that Fifa or The league would look at running transfer windows 1/6 to 1/8 so we can start the league with all the squad in place! Its ridiculous running it into the first month of the season.....

Awful management by Levy. Always trying to get the best deals but he loses even more money at the end of the year as we dont end up in the CL.

He just needs to spend the money, we`ve got a fantastic generation here (Walker, bale, Kaboul, Modric, Sandro). All he needs to do is spend a bit to add to that.

Just give the teams the money they want ffs.
 
Guys, have I missed something over the past few pages re A Carroll? Judging by that quote I thought AVB said there's no chance we're in for him? Is there something else to the contrary?

Yeah I think so too, BTW what's happened to Remy.. has he been linked with any other clubs since we stopped getting ITK on him a while back?

When he wasnt even on the bench last night, I thought it was a clear signal that he's off. Similar with Bassong. Both have been involved a lot so far pre-season

Would you have preferred a couple earlier signings at higher prices or a new stadium? I think we have a lot less cash than in generally perceived given that we're trying to finance the new stadium
 
The trouble with an Andy Carroll type player is not so much Andy Caroll himself (although he is far from ideal) but how it affects the rest of the team, who when faced with a tall striker seem to completely revert to 'knock it long to the striker' mode.

Isn't Berbatov still available - he's much more of an AVB player, and cheaper (given the situation I could just about get over previous disloyalty) -a much better stop gap. At least when we knock it long to him he holds it up properly.
