That may make Tottenham think twice but if they want a top level striker then they're probably going to have to pay top money for one. Manchester United could see him as an alternative to Van Persie if something goes wrong with that deal and Juventus are no doubt of the same mind.

If he really wants to go - they must sell him now as he can start negotiating with anyone in 6 months time as per law.

From the perception I get, is that we have made enquiries, possibly an informal offer which is of course lower than his value and Lloris now knows about it. We have then went all quiet for a while hence there being continual comments from the Lyon end reminding us that Lloris is still for sale at the right price. I think Lloris wants to come as we are mentioned continually, and I get the feeling most of this is put out there by agent or the club president to keep communications open.

It's pretty easy to glibly spend other people's money based on a non-existent guarantee.

Look at the money spent (fairly) recently on strikers... did Carroll guarantee goals? Did Torres? Suarez?

I feel your pain but sometimes it just ain't that easy... who would we have got??

ive said this before, if we were selling Modric to an English club we could realistically expect 40 mill from the likes of Utd, City or Chelsea. But there is only one club in this deal and its Real, and tbf id rather sell to Real than an English club even if it means that we receive less in compensation.

Agree with that. Its different to someone at the start of the Lloris comments though saying that, on the basis of Kaboul's comments, you could assume that a price has been agreed.
 
In New York, Tony Parks said he has watched Lloris since he was 16 and is a big fan. He said they'd like to get him in, but if it doesn't happen he's more than happy with Freidal. He called Brad a "7 out of 10 every week" keeper.
