Mourinho about Sahin.....

"And in Real Madrid with Xabi Alonso, with [Sami] Khedira, with Lassana [Diarra], [Esteban] Granero, [Mesut] Ozil, the situation is not easy.

'Real Madrid is very difficult. It is not an easy club, because we demand a lot. We have great players, and when you don’t start well, it is difficult to do it."
...............

Mourinho classes Diarra and Granero above Sahin??:-k......something about Sahin has seriously pi$$ed off ol' Jose

OR

Maybe all you jokers are overrating Sahin? No?

We signed him up to a new contract, he signed a new deal, what ever way you want to be fussy about it he reinforced his commitment to the club at a time there were concerns he may leave.

As you pointed out previously Barca were reportedly interested.

My argument is centered around the fact his was a position of existing strength - whereas a striking option is very much a priority right now.

He's a hyped-up Andros Townsend.

I've watched him loads of time as LFCTV cover all their youth & reserve games. Trust me, over-rated beyond comprehension. The two players who they have which have the best potential are Jordon Ibe and Michael Ngoo; the first being a winger, and the other a striker.

Ngoo? Are you serious? Imagine what 'Tony Gardner would look like playing upfront and that's what he reminds me of. Suso is their best youth player by a mile, Sterling is pretty decent.

Suso is gonna be better than Iniesta according to a clown ass jabroni on RAWK.

Ngoo was absolutely horrible in that NextGen match against us.

Which is fine, but also has nothing to do with my pointing out we have made movs in the window to sign a few players and it has been stated we will move back into the market again

Wouldn't read much into it. It's just squad politics and if it's true that they are looking to offload Sahin on loan to let him regain fitness and gain some experience he's just listing the other players they have that can play in that position. Doesn't mean he doesn't rate him. Just like it didn't mean that Harry didn't rate Walker behind Corluka and Hutton when he let Walker go out on loan and kept the other two.

Does anyone else think this story might be Jose putting a shot across the bow, rather than a true appraisal of Sahin?

This might an attempt to get Levy to agree to the sale of Luka and some sort of a swap/sale of Sahin.

its not about rating him, maybe its more an attitude problem. If Sahin is as highly rated as some believe there is no way Mourinho would be letting him go after just a year at Real, even if it is on loan.

If they only let him leave on a loan wouldn't that indicate that Mourinho thinks he has a future at the club, wouldn't they look to sell him permanently if he didn't think he had a future?

I rate Sahin very highly, if he will ever be good enough to be a regular starter for Real though is a different question. He could be a fantastic player and still not be good enough for Real and Barca. I would be very happy bringing in a player that was not quite good enough for those sides.

yeah i agree with most of that, however when a player of his ability is loaned out after a year, and at his age of 23/24, it indicates he doesnt have much of a future there. Wherever he goes will most probably lead to a permanent transfer after a year if he is happy and the loaning club is pleased with his contribution
