so how did he play for Hoffenheim, West Ham and now Saudi Sportswashing Machine

i think all these rumours are a disgrace and out of order

Hoffenheim shipped him out quickly and cheaply.

West Ham were desperate so took a risk.

Hoffenheim refuse to release Senegal's Demba Ba

Hoffenheim have told want-away striker Demba Ba to forget about a transfer during the January window.

The Bundesliga outfit's general manager Ernst Tanner also warned the Senegal international he can expect to spend the next six months without a club.

Ba, 25, refused to travel with Hoffenheim to their winter training camp in Spain amid interest from Premier League strugglers West Ham.

Tanner told his club's website: "I have told him to expect legal action."

Ba suggested in a statement on his own website that Hoffenheim had gone back on a promise to let him move to England.

"I regret the situation and I suffer from it," Ba stated.

"The club gave me a green light to leave under certain conditions which have been met. I hope that the promises will be fulfilled."

He added that he had spoken to Hoffenheim officials recently about his desire to play in England and that negotiations were opened with a club, believed to be West Ham.

"Both clubs have negotiated and an offer arrived in Hoffenheim's office," the striker continued.

"From there all parties were expected to agree on the transfer. However, for some obscure reason, Hoffenheim have suddenly decided otherwise.

The Senegalese has decided to show his anger at this decision by not training with the team.

Tanner said the player will now have to face the consequences of his actions, but he will not be allowed to leave.

"He will be fined and have his contract terminated, but he will not be able to play for any other club," Tanner added.

"We have already had this situation with Demba Ba wanting to get away at all costs.

"The way the player has tried for a second time to put pressure on his employers must be a first in the Bundesliga."

Ba said he would never play for Hoffenheim again after receiving an approach from Stuttgart in 2009.

However, he was ordered to fulfil his contract and eventually accepted that he would not be going anywhere.

"Demba's behaviour will certainly have consequences," Tanner warned. "This approach to his employers, but also to his team-mates cannot be tolerated."

Ba, who has scored six goals this season, has also reportedly been attracting interest from West Ham's Premier League rivals Blackburn.

Ba instigated the move away from Hoffenheim, his behaviour was a disgrace

West ham tried their best to keep Ba, but his contract allowed him to leave for free. West Ham were in desperate straights when they signed him, and there was a relegation clause that they agreed to that allowed him to walk away

Finally, you really think Saudi Sportswashing Machine, Ashley, Llambis, Carr would sign a player on a big contract without any insurance to fall back on if things go wrong?

please

AC Milan striker Filippo Inzaghi has called time on his playing career to take over as youth-team coach for the club

I don't think we're desperate quite yet..

Though it is getting a little bit concerning imo that we're what, 3 weeks from the start of the season? And there doesn't seem to be that much movement occurring..

(That we know about)

thats the important part, especially if the Ade deal falls apart

if we are lucky enough to bring in a new striker, big if, it doesnt give everyone enough time to adjust and gel

If true then excellent. Would really like to see Dembele in our squad. Would complement our style and players effectively. Haven't seen willian is he any good?

The same one Chelsea were told to up their bid for, as it says in the article.. that bit doesn't make sense.

'Shakhtar have set a price of €25 million (£19.5 million) for Willian although the club claimed they rejected an offer of £25.5 million from Chelsea (in January)'

Gives some weight to the rumours of us trying to tie up a loan deal for boriello. Maybe AVB has come in and realises there isn't much time to sort out deals for his top targets, therefore trying to get contingency plans in place in case deals don't come off. Better to bring in a loan deal for someone that might be able to do a job or be got rid of if he can't rather than spend money on a panic buy. Plus doesn't look like we have much money to play with until Modric, pienaar and others are sold

Just watched some videos, definitely not worth 25 million. He plays primarily as a Attacking Left Mid, currently we have Bale, Lennon, Gio,Townsend, Falque as wing options. Much rather get Dembele and spend on some quality FWS.

Probably not quite 'associated crap' but i don't think it deserves it's own thread..

Emirates Marketing Project: The science behind the champions

Slightly hilarious read. Apparently they've become champions by embracing sports science.

Fairly interesting - does anyone know if it's something AVB embraces himself?

Probably the reason they want Mancini tied down to a long contract. If he embraces this kind of thing it could fit in with what they are looking for.
