DHSF you say we do not many options, well that is because our scouting has been wanting. Everton got Nikica Jelavic for peanuts and he has done very well for them, and again I mention Demba Ba. These two players are proof if you look hard enough we do not have to buy strikers and pay them 170K a week.

Everybody talks about Lewendowski these days but they all ignore the fact that he was signed for 4.5 euros just 2 years ago, further proof there are players there if we look hard enough. Instead we for players that everybody else wants and then complain we cannot compete with them or we go for a player who we allow to hold us over a barrel by demanding silly money

further that, that is the kind of level where we can excel - see Berbatov and Modric as relative unknowns (to many punters over here at least) - we can afford wages at that level and likes of Man U are happy to see us take our risk, then take it off our hands for £30m+ 3 years later.

Still a bit early IMO to pass judgement on either of them. We need a striker for the long term, not one that only has a good few months. Not saying those two will be flash in the pans, but I still think it's too early for people to be calling them a success.

Mate who is a sunderland fan told me they are apparently desperate to get rid of wickham, not sure if he is any good or not but young and the sort that levy might like.

But the point I am making still stands, there are bargains out there. Saudi Sportswashing Machine for instance are proving the point - Hatem Ben Arfa 2 million, Cabaye 4.8 mill and Tiote 3.5 mill, or Downing 20 mill, Carroll 35 mill and Henderson 20mill

Sky Italia claim Tottenham have made a bid for AS Roma striker Marco Borriello. He has been linked with Werder Bremen & Galatasaray #THFC

I wonder what he'd think of GHod if he were put on a team where he was earning minimum wage.

I think it's understandable when you come from the poverty these African lads do and he's survived a shooting as well. Enough to make u spiritual if you weren't already!!

I'm not sure that is true actually, the only tall striker that he has formed an effective partnership with during his two spells at Spurs was Kanoute. Keane was always the happier of the two feeding off knock downs.

Defoe's only effective partnership in his career was with Kanoute (more at West Ham than with us too).

Hulk is loath to be drawn into speculation as to where he will be playing his football next season, insisting he leaves such decisions to GHod, and his agent.

"My future is in GHod's hands. Regarding transfers, I let my agent handle it. I'm focused on the national team," he told Lancenet.

We need Hulk to stay where he is this summer, as Porto wont let both him and Moutinho leave at the same time, and we need Moutinho.
