£28m?

fudge off! If he was so amazing, why didn't he move to sign him at Chelsea then?

We asked £40m for Modric, could've got Moutinho for half that.

If he ain't good enough for Chelsea, he ain't good enough for us.

Shows you lot shouldn't be so quick to sell Modric. Bringing in to replace him is near impossible. I can't see Moutinho choosing us over United. I don't see who else out there could play that role.

Sky Sports understands former Swansea star Gylfi Sigurdsson is poised to seal his move to Tottenham in the next 24 hours.

The Icelandic international is expected to be unveiled as new Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas' first signing on Wednesday.

Spurs have beaten Liverpool to the 22-year-old's signature with Brendan Rodgers keen to be reunited with the attacking midfielder having signed him last season at Swansea.

Sigurdsson enjoyed a successful spell on loan at Swansea last season and his performances have not gone unnoticed.

The talented playmaker scored seven goals in 19 games for Swansea last term and was named the Premier League player of the month for March.

Swansea had agreed a deal to sign Sigurdsson on a permanent basis, but Rodgers' departure to Liverpool all but saw their hopes of signing him ended.

Spurs are believed to have agreed a fee with Hoffenheim for Sigurdsson with the former Reading man also agreeing personal terms and passing a medical at White Hart Lane.

Ok, every time Sigurdsson has been linked to us we hear ALL about his goalscoring exploits... yup, I get it, he scores goals! But as was typically asked of Jenas, (outside scoring goals) what does he do?!

Is he any good really? Or does his goal rate mask an otherwise brick player?

He is too slow IMO

Sig looks good running with the ball (albeit the best examples are against teams like Scotland) seems to draw a lot of fols outside the box and can hit a decent free kick.
