Dempsey has panic buy written all over it, we'll be massively disappointing.

If we don't get good cover for Ade, I guess it won't be too bad because Defoe's contract suggests AVB thinks he can fit him in...but we do need cover or simply a better right forward. Is Dempsey really who we are looking at?

However good a goalkeeper he is - and I hope he will be a great one for Spurs - it is not a position we NEED to have filled today

Of course not. But Gyfli replaces VdV, Dembele replaces Modric, vertonghan places King / Bassong. We can debate whether those are like for like in terms of quality if oyu like

We havent though replaced Niko, Pienaar and GDS so, even though those didnt play regularly, we have minimal wide cover. We also havent replaced Saha (who replaced Pav)

We don't have a striker cover, any winger cover, any AM cover, but it's okay because we have four goalkeepers!

I find it funny that no one wants Dempsey, im pretty sure everyone was raving about him last season.

Im not too keen on him either to be honest, but im sure he could do a job.

This. If we're going for the Europa League and the PL, we need a bigger squad of quality players to cover all positions. We need to get some attacking options in.

Kane replaces Pav, I think Townsend covers Bale (who is so fit he shouldn't need rotating much and it's not like we could sign anyone willing to back up Bale) but I agree we do need cover/competition for Lennon.

It's the "not exotic enough-syndrome". Players from different leagues are always more enticing, for some reason.

Clearly Moutinho deal not happening-prob never was knowing Levy so:

An improvement in goal-not needed
Defence- King replaced, both full back positions cover gone
Modric & Vdv replaced by players from Swansea and Fulham (though i expect both will do decent)
Gio, Krancjar, Saha gone, not replaced-
Up front we look wafer thin

Another transfer window with the squad weakened, wages slashed and profits made brought to you by L*vy
