They are again buying with the money the club doesnt have the makings of a superb team.

Agree. The very top end of league is going to be that much more competitive next year, assuming that Torres remembers how to finish again.

On the upside, Liverpoo are a shambles, Arse might still lose the one player who carried them through last season almost single handedly and cheatski still have to get a manager and bed the new players in. Its also difficult to see how Saudi Sportswashing Machine could do much better than they did this year.

We cant though keep relying on others to f**k up, as we seemed to last season - we need to be bold in the transfer market if we want CL regularly

Got to agree with this. Getting 3rd would have meant that we could have been more active this summer. Still, they need a new manager and get these guys to gel but they are forming a deep and young squad. Mata, Marin, Hazard, Lukaku, Romeu, Sturridge, Cahill (to an extent).....all have their best years ahead of them

Chelsea are offering 2-3 times the money we are. It wouldn't matter if we'd just won the league until we either have a new stadium or FFP is actually enforced.

Anyway was gonna say, in relation to the Agent_DIK post... I was just about to reply to this tweet then I thought better of rising to his BS!! Someone else posted Ledley to get 1yr contract with us with a view to put him in a coaching role later... That sounds more like it to me

Torres has had a chat with Roman and been given assurances over his future. Must mean he'll be the central striker.

Been wanting to post this all day, but been in meetings all morning and afternoon!

The rumours regarding HR, are completely RUBBISH. As are the rumours re DL and HR not getting along, things are fine between the pair, opposites attract... HR will sign a new contract before pre-season.

Both know this is the window that will make or break us, but they both know we need to make massive signings, not just big money, but players that will take us forward.

Vertonghen, as most of you are aware, is done and dusted, and will be at HH tomorrow for a medical.

We had a bid of 11M + Addons for Damiao turned down, we will DEFINATELY go back in with a bigger bid.

Our three striker targets are ofcourse Ade, LD and Remy, but we will only go for the two.

Expect Nelsen to be released this week.
