Which player would you like to see take over from Luka Modric?

I am not advocating getting rid, but there is stuff you really do not know which goes against the grain and if you did you would be speaking different, and for the sake of politics and confidentiality the mods and certain respected ITK's on here would not go public on what they know, so let us be careful by backing him blindly based upon recent finishes. All is certainly not well at the club and that cancer cannot spread. It is up to the board how they deal with it, so stop knocking the club and board and let them do what is right whatever that may be. Let me hasten to add that i am not suggesting that you are knocking the board it is a generic comment

What astonishes me is how a lot of us because of recent finishes are spouting up a blind alley. We all know they want rid of him! We all know they are frustrated with him! We all know he cacked up the hazard deal in January when we should have done a pre-contract agreement. We all know it was the board who forced Ade on him as he wanted Carlton Cole, push for the drog which was not realistic and much more. We all know he suggest we sign Rio and J Cole who would fill modders boots. We all know that he is a cack man-manager, and half the squad if not more do not rate or get on with him. We all know certain international players at the club cannot believe how clueless he is, and his old school f'ing and blinding and players is not working. Ghosh it is a shambles

If someone knew that all of those things were true with a high degree of certainty I cannot understand how they would not advocate getting rid.

Absolutely qunting unbelievable. Every fudging time someone wants to bash Redknapp, it's the Joe Cole thing they bring up. Again and again and again the cretinous suggestion that Harry wants solid journeymen brickhouses, when the evidence is that his teams play some of the most exciting, attacking, vibrant football in Europe. And yet this qunting fudging Joe ****ing Cole thing comes up again and again...and we never even fudging signed the qunt! You'd think we had and Harry had built the team around him! fudge sakes . Jeeesssusus this drives me up the fudging wall.

the 1st paragraph, your thinking well I don't really believe this but he's planting a seed of doubt there and then the 2nd paragraph :ross:. It's like it's written by 2 different people, definitely lets out his anti Harry stance there and passing it off as ITK.

Perhaps that is slightly the wrong terminology. What I should have said us that he has the knack of scoring crucial goals such as those against arsenal, Swansea away, stoke at home, Saudi Sportswashing Machine away, both Blackburn games, and the only goal against Watford in the FA cup.

We'll never get better money for him. I like VDV alot, his passion etc. but I think without him, we'd allow a better system, could use the wages and that money for two new strikers, someone like Eriksen too perhaps etc.

But where does that leave Lampard? Coz as far as I've heard he's not been released and doubt very much he will. They won't "need" Modric now they have Hazard, Mata and Marin all Attacking mid/LW type roles... he'd be a fool to go there and expect first team football. He'd do a Berbatov and fizzle out.
And with United set to land Kagawa do they really need him either?? looks likely if/when Mods goes it'll be abroad now, which is alot easier to stomach

Sigurdsson would've been a good, cost-effective shout
 
But Modric doesn't play in the same role as Hazard, Marin or Mata, he plays deep CM. If needed for us he's occassionaly pushed up to LM or front of a Midfield 3, but that's been quite rare for 3 seasons now, by far his best position is deep CM.

Lampard? he'll be rotting on the bench.

Luka would definitely be starting if he signed for Chelski. Him as the playmaker and Ramires as the box to box mid would be utter class imo. I mean against tougher opposition away from home they'll probably sacrifice one of the attacking quartret to accommodate a dm but still.
 
I'd be happy if they signed Hulk.. they'd have some overrated Brazilian who'd probably be fudging awful in this league, Hazard adapting to the league, Torres who is nothing like the one we saw at Liverpool, Ramires moved back to central midfield which just isn't right for him and probably someone brick like Mikel next to him.

Not to mention how suspect there defence still is. Lol for Chelsea next year.
