Re: The summer transfer thread, Dembele pg 1277 #Levytime

would Jol want to work with Berbs again? there were rumours previously that Jol lost the dressing room and Berbs was one of the culprits. then again Berbs hit his high playing with Keane under Jol.

wonder if Berbs ever considered that Fulham may even pull the plug last minute. Funny if that happened and he would have to head back to Man U!

There were those rumours, but I remember some press reports at the time saying that Berbatov went up to Jol after he was sacked and said "we're both too good for this place".

Maybe their relationship is still strong.

wow, Berbs cool factor just increased 10x if he really said that, 100x if he said that with a cigarette hanging off his lips ;)

Its only for a matter of principle that I don't want Berbs back. But it would be a loss for the EPL if we don't see someone as classy as him play week in week out.

So I'm rooting for a happy reunion.

1000x if he said it, had a ciggy in his lips and a squirrel on his shoulder.

1,000,000 x if the squirrel was originally an undercover cop but due to an undying love of Berbs, throws his badge away, jumps on Berbs back as he straddles a motorcycle and rides off into the sunset

Quick summary of the 21 player deals Spurs have made so far during the Summer 2012 transfer window...

...I remember back in the day we would have one major signing each season - Roger Morgan in 1969, Martin Peters in 1970, Ralph Coates in 1971.

Oh well!

Now Remy, Moutinho and Lloris would be amazing. Wish it would happen but sadly not :(

Re: The summer transfer thread, Dembele pg 1277 #Levytime

Yes he can - but CM is where he is at his absolute best.

If we wanted an AM we should buy an AM, not a CM who can do that job
If we wanted a winger/wing forward we should buy one, not a CM who can do the job...

He is an AM who can also do the job of a CM.

My point is - one of Demebele's strong selling points (both for Levy and AVB) I would imagine was his versatility in the middle third of the field. He can cover numerous positions looks comfortable on the table and most improtantly - carry the ball 'forward' and beat oppoents (often from a standing position)

Haha! First time I've ever actually laughed out loud over something written on here.

Loic Remy

Breaking news - Sky Sports News

Spurs chairman Daniel Levy flies to Marseille in bid to sign Loic Remy

I feel we are very close to this one and it deserves its own thread - much like M'Vila few weeks ago

Personally - I'm somewhat underwhelmed but he can do more of a job upfront than Willian so perhaps we are looking for extra versatility.
