He doesn't appear to be in AVBs plans for the future and he's too good a player not to be a regular in the Premier League.

I really hope he does stay with Spurs, but it seems unlikely that he will.

Why do they think it's for Remy not Lloris.

Think Remy would be a good addition tho as he can play up front and RF do would give us some different options.

Yeah I think if we have turned to Remy it probably means Willian is too expensive for what we think we'd get. It would be a shame on the one hand as i like flair players at Spurs. On the other hand I think French footballers tend to adapt well to English football and he would be a goal threat coming in off the right in place of Lennon and also could cover upfront if Ade is injured/away. Did he score what, about 18 goals in the league last year?

He's more pace, power and finishing than flair, but he'd probably have more end product than Willian.

He is pretty well built aswell and has amazing pace. Him and Ade would dominate defenders.

While its been exciting being linked to the likes of Willian and Hulk, the fact is that Chelsea tried to sign these players but decided they couldn't afford them or didn't want to pay the money asked for them. So what chance have we got, even with the Modric money?

Remy looks a good player though. He scored a lot of goals and can play upfront or wide right apparently, so i'm guessing he fits our system and covers Lennon and Ade at the same time (possibly even replacing Lennon in the starting XI). Can't say i've seen that much of him, but seemed Harry rated and wanted him and that Sherwood and Levy have probably run it past AVB who has ratified the signing if first choice targets didn't come off

Name me someone better than Remy who would be available? He can play across the front 3 has excellent pace and is 6ft.

I would certainly want Remy over Willian.

I heard he got 18 goals last season too. If he can play alone up front and wide as part of a 3 then that gives us good option. He is also rapid from what I've seen.

Shame about William as I think we need a proper dribbler who can just go past players and create something out of nothing.

May help persuade Lloris to join our French contingent too.

You are letting your anti-twitter and anti-itk views bias your judgement

If you are open minded enough to look up Pedro pinto and joao_puela on twitter negotiations are ongoing and there does seem to be a decent chance

But nobody knows if it will actually go through

I feel the same way but Dembele has great technical ability and I really think he'd be utilised as the ball playing mid with a licence to roam in a middle 3 of

Willain is a more of a wide forward anyway - which is a position Remy could well cover

The fact Levy is off to France 1 day before lockdown is quite telling, imv - you would imagine the chairman would be 'present' on what would be our single most expensive purchase of all time and around 10m more than what we've ever spent on a player.
