what we know now is that Hazard says a lot of things, appears to contradict himself, and is a journos dream.....could be Redknapp's long lost illegitimate son

If he really cared that much about playing time he wouldn't join any of them. He'd get more there than from the other two. Kalou and Drogba are gone, which means Torres will play centrally and there's an opening on the right.

I know this was widely reported when he first came over however many seasons ago but is there any evidence that his attitude still stinks?

yes he did, which was when he came out with the statement about playing time, i had respect for him then. But that has all faded away now. If they play him, Marin and Mata behind Torres they are bound to get goals with lampard and Mikel sitting in behind.

Marin, Malouda, Mata, Meriles, Ramierez, Lampard, Kalou and Sturridge are all in competition for a starting spot. That's quite a selection but I guess some will leave.

Your also forgetting Kevin De Bruyne who the unsigned for ?ú7M in January IIRC!!!

That's a lot if wide players yet they now only have two clear cut forwards

At to that Hulk and that's a collection of 9 or 10 for the same spots!

Wouldn't be attractive to players looking for playing time unless it's a BIG BIG pay day.

With their current defense I would see that team shipping a lot of goals as well. It would be down to the midfield to have a lot of possession to stop that happening.

if the rumours are to be believed, its more likely to be Hazard, Hulk and Mata in behind Falcao, with Modric and Tiote sitting in behind:-k :eek:

To be honest, if the rumours are to be believed they'll need to end up playing 1-9-1 with John Terry holding the line on his own.


They are linked with Loads of Midfielders...

Hardly a problem.

If they play a 4-3-3 we're talking about two wide men, if they play a 4-2-3-1 we're talking about 3 attacking midfielders or two wide men and one attacking midfielder.

Malouda is past it and most likely going, Kalou was never good enough and I think he's leaving on a free. Ramires and Meireles can play in central midfield positions in 4-3-3 and at least Ramires can play in a deeper role in a 4-2-3-1.

That leaves Mata, Hazard, Marin and Sturridge as well as this De Bruyne dude. For 3 positions in a 4-2-3-1 that's hardly excessive and even in a 4-3-3 having 4 wide options is not that much, 4+1 youngster isn't all that bad, particularly considering that Sturridge wants to play as a striker.
 
How about Romeu? He's looked quite good.

Edit: note you were talking about wide positions above, but he's another midfielder to fit into the whole team. Seems very scatter gun.
