Swansea play a 4-3-3 with the two wingers part of the front 3, they cut in an shoot and also are there to provide balls from the wide areas. He has been using Sinclair and even Routledge in those positions, to me it seems Dos Santos would be a perfect fit for that system. Maybe we can loan him with a view to buying like he did with Sigurdsson.

good points, and i suppose if Nathan Dyer can get into the Swansea team then GDS would have a chance

Rafa and Sigurdsson are very much alike, where do you get the idea that they are not?

Rafa is infinitely more creative. We need someone like that in and around the box as Modric/Parker play deep and so we need his cleverness up top to play the final ball

Belge paper La Dernier Heure claim Hazard has meeting in London today when 40m euro deal with CFC will be completed .

you could argue that Dos Santos has more talent that Dyer, Routledge and Sinclair. Swansea play a technical slow build up style which would suit his game. Could be a perfect option. Either that or we get rid of Harry and get Rodgers in and someone uses GDS properly ;)

massive price tag, massive wages, the pressure on him is going to be immense, and with managers walking in and out of Chelsea on a regular basis there is every chance he will fall by the wayside

I was desperately hoping we'd sign this guy a few months back but the way he has stage managed this whole affair has me now realising that he is a massive dingdonghead who belongs with the other dingdongheads at Chelsea. I would love to see him faiil there because of the way he has behaved but if the last few months have taught me anything is that ****s win. An upside might be that this transfer could rule them out of any race for Modric, as they have a murder of midfielders on their books now.
Marin, Malouda, Mata, Meriles, Ramierez, Lampard, Kalou and Sturridge are all in competition for a starting spot. That's quite a selection but I guess some will leave.

amazing thing is that Chelsea are signing big players without a manager in charge:) if that doesnt worry Hazard, then he is truly mad in the head and belongs at the funny farm that is Stamford Bridge

still think they will be after Modric too

I hope dos Santos goes to Swansea and fudging rips it up

i think the only way to do this is to send him out on loan like we did with Caulker. His value will undoubtedly sky rocket (not that its extremely high atm) and will also allow us the possibility of keeping him if/when Rodgers replaces 'Arry who will know what to do with a player like GDS. 'Arry just won't have him in his system and its killed his development.

i dont think its GDS's ability thats the problem with Redknapp, its his application in training, frequent trips to nightclubs, and being late every morning:)

It's a good match when you think about it. Rodgers espouses the Barca playing style and Gio was from their academy. I'd like to see what Gio can do given an extended run in a team where he is played in his favoured position. We should make this a loan signing in case he actually does turn into a good player.

What's the night life like in Swansea?

Who the fudge is signing players at Chelsea? What a shambles. A manager who's just won the Champions League and FA Cup but won't be appointed unless Guardiola turns them down and Hazard wants to go there?

A manager who's just won the Champions League and FA Cup but won't be appointed unless Guardiola turns them down and Hazard wants to go there? Money. And possibly the fact that they have a few young Belgians already and he'll get more playing time than with United and especially City

an added Chelsea attraction for Hazard is that he quickly hop on the Eurostar and be in Lille in about an hour and a half, just in time for tea

Didn't Hazard specifically say in March that he wouldn't go to Chelsea because of they way Lukaku's career has come to a halt there? Not for the money then?
