Re: 1060 pages and a striker, but 113 pages later no more Modric summer transfer thre

Gomes did have a fantastic and accurate long throw though which he could get well over the halfway line.

If we get William I wonder if we may see a return of the wonky formation in some games.

I remember these long throws they would often come straight back at us because the ball would rarely reach anyone in space by the time it arrived. Gomes distribution was and still is GHod awful.

That itk from the Journalist sounds way too positive to be true, if we're really going for all those I'd be delighted ! Unfortunately, common sense tells me there's no way in the world all those deals would be done in 4 days !

The Journalist said: ↑
Moutinho is still number one choice and I expect a final day take it or leave it offer. This will delay other potential deals.
There are 5 clubs talking to Dembele. Three in England (including Spurs), one in France and one in Italy. Timing is the key because Martin Jol will not sell unless it’s sorted out soon.
M’Vila; simple battle of the North London clubs. Tottenham have offered more money. Two months ago if you’d have asked me I’d have said he is nailed on to be an Arsenal player. Again it will all depend on timing but now personal opinion is you have got it.

Doesn't sound too promising.

Re: 1060 pages and a striker, but 113 pages later no more Modric summer transfer thre

Sounds like Porto are ruining our Summer lol. Will be interesting to see if we cave in and pay a hefty fee for the 1st choice Moutinho or try and leave it late as possible hoping they lower the fee. If not we'll have to try and deal for a cheaper alternative.

Re: 1060 pages and a striker, but 113 pages later no more Modric summer transfer thre

Can't remember a single thing he's ever got right, in fact, didn't he once say a few windows ago that KJH was nailed on?

Re: 1060 pages and a striker, but 113 pages later no more Modric summer transfer thre

I personally believe if Hulk stays at Porto, we will get Moutinho

Porto sell one player per summer to balance the books, and it will be one or the other, not both!

I think we have our net cast far and wide, some of these players will be options for one position, for example, I dont think we will get Dembele and M'Via, it will be one or the other.

And Its interesting reading some people put Willian in there 1st Xl ahead of Lennon, if its all the same, I will stick with Azza untill Willian can prove otherwise. I remember wanting lennon out the team when Bentley signed! You dont know what you have until its gone!

Jermaine Jenas to Sunderland looks like it could go through very soon.

cue the "I'll drive him there myself" posts.

Ahem...

I'LL DRIVE HIM THERE MYSELF!

I always thought that the criticism of Jenas was slightly unwarranted.

Having said that, he was more like John Pratt than Martin Peters.

How long is Bentley's contract? Shouldn't it be over soon? Almost feel a bit sorry for the guy.

Me too, but it's time to let go and get other players in the fans can blame and call a c*nt in the stands.

He was booed on Saturday, disgusting behaviour from our dear "fans"

Guess it's make or break for Bostock this year too.. so much potential yet nothing. Has he been loaned out again.. I though Di Canio wanted him back at Swindon

Bostock is still with Spurs at the moment - he scored in the Spus XI 3-1 win at Northampton Town earlier this month.
