As much as I'm ok with anyone not in AVBs plans to be shipped out for decent fees (or anything for Bentley/Jenas!) it does make me nervous when there's no incomings yet.. Let's hope some are far enough down the line to happen before the madness of deadline day.

Redknapp left the squad in a strange state. Very light on the wings and up front, and yet somehow bloated as well.

We have masses of options for CM and CD, 3 first choice level keepers...

I actually think JJetset is more reliable than most. He mentioned that he was confident Damiao would sign eventually the other week so I'm guessing if there is another up top to come in it would be him. We appear to have been working on it for quite some time and some direct quotes from Damiao's agent about a week or two ago were that there may be a new offer from Tottenham.

Damiao is probably realistic for us as i feel most of the other top clubs aren't convinced by him at the top level so probably aren't willing to push the boat out for him given what Inter want. This may also make it hard for us to seal the deal as i'm sure there is a big difference between what Inter want and what we're willing to pay.

I think Llorente, Lewandowski are pipe-dreams, the competition for them, both of whom are proven in top level leagues will be huge and the fees/wages astronomical. If Man Utd couldn't match what Dortmund/Lewandowski wanted, what hope do we have? Similarly if Juve and Emirates Marketing Project are in for Llorente similar to Hazard we have no chance.

Damiao is still at the stage where people are yet to be convinced by him and in a similar manner to Modric, who some of the top clubs passed up when he was in Croatia due to similar concerns as to how he'd adapt to a top league, its those kind of players starting off their careers we need to go for, before they are 'proven' as such.

At the risk of stating the obvious we do not just need one more up top, we need two. If we bring in one and he gets injured or Defoe gets a knock then we are back to square one.

I find the Dawson/Huddlestone rumours strange unless we are replacing with some real quality. In Dawsons case he looks to be edged out by Gallas who at his age loves an injury so that shocks me a little. With Huddlestone love him or not again I find it strange especially with the departure of Modric looming, I know they are not 100% a like but still CM, so losing two or planning to must mean their is quality coming in?? Surely??

The Independent and Guardian were already stating this around midnight last night on their websites, but thanks for regurgitating it for us POTL perhaps some will continue to believe you are ITK.

This guy (or kid) must just go on Newsnow scouring for all snippets of information, then just put it all into one sentence and cast it off as his own. He always states the inevitable and tells us nothing we do not already know. I hate him more than John Terry, Frank Lampard, Jack Wheelchair and Frimpong all put together.

Well he seems to get other things right. I think if Damiao doesn't sign then i think we can relegate him to someone who gets genuine info but has a tendancy to exagerate and/or embellish that info.

to be fair to him as well he hasn't said Damiao will sign, he just said we're working on it and we're 'confident' but that it is still work in progress.

I'm not saying i believe everything he says, i'm just being fair in what he said. He did however say Ade was now done, so if that turns out not to be true, i think its fair to put him in the POTL flimflam bracket.

That he doesnt allow himself to get shown up does not imply he actually knows anything concrete, only that he knows how to present his "info"

Just observe how other "ITKs" jump the gun as soon as JJ is positive about something.

Swansea saying Sinclair not interested in signing new contract and will probably leave. 5 million would be an excellent signing to add competition on the wings. Although I expect Emirates Marketing Project would be a more attractive proposition to him.

At teh start of the window I though we desperately needed a GK as we have one clown GK and two who are absurdly old. Given the shocking state that this window is evolving into, I think the GK issue will be pushed back to future windows - we just need to cross our fingers that this year isnt the year where age catches up with Friedel (I personally think its already caught up with CC)

Friedel doesn't have the distribution and reflexes aren't great. Gomes doesn't have the reliability (unfortunately) and the less said about Cudicini the better.

Judging by his appearances in pre season it most definitely has.

Friedel doesn't have the distribution and reflexes aren't great. Gomes doesn't have the reliability (unfortunately) and the less said about Cudicini the better.

All three of them could get regular games in the premier league.

They may well be right for us and our ambitions but they are each first team quality.

Its not like a situation where we have one GK and 2 youth prospects sitting behind him.

Seriously, this obsession which some people have (not necessarily you) with Leandro/Damiao is just embarrassing. People have been getting their hopes up over him for almost two years yet there is no chance of us getting him. Why not kid ourselves that we'll get Messi as well? Leandro is a full, established Brazilian international, young, coming from a club which has just pocketed a big cheque from selling another top young talent and he'll want to move to a big team who can pay top dollar and offer him CL football. Thats not us at the moment. We are trying to finance a stadium and, even if we could somehow attract him, we therefore wont be spending the £25m or whatever it'll take to get in on any single player in this window, whether Leandro, Moutinho or whoever
