OMT: ***TOTTENHAM v sunderland***

the doom mongering begins in earnest

i respectfully disagree...simply a matter of managing expectations based on overwhelming empirical evidence...nevertheless, on a non-doomish note, i think many of us are looking forward to next season with AVB at the helm. COYS!!

Normally I'm really looking forward to our games, but this one I just want to be over. Not feeling the same excitement as I usually feel on match day, just a sense of uncertainty and impatience. I would be fudging ecstatic if we manage to get ahead of Arsenal, but I will accept it if we don't. I just want to know what happens.

From a journo on twitter

The People has pictures today of Sunderland defender David Bardsley laying on the floor with 50 pound notes in a casino...
They say he has been dropped from today's game by Paolo di Canio as a result of the night out

So no Bardsley, Gardner, Sessegnon, Fletcher, Rose, 5 of their better players

bricking myself. Just hoping we keep to our side of the bargain and the barcodes decide to turn up too.

I have been pretty negative about the team during the run in but strangely I feel positive about today. Its just a feeling that Arsenal have had luck on their side so many times that the footballing gods will give us our chance today. Either way, its been strange adopting Saudi Sportswashing Machine for a week anyway :)
