OMT: ***TOTTENHAM v sunderland***

Wasn't referring to them at all mate, I was answering Crawley's question with regards to my behaviour at that age. You're right to point out the potential of inference there, and apologies to those players because I was absolutely not inferring that whatsoever.I just don't think nightclubbing in any degree at this point in the season is, err, great preparation.

No? Going out with your mates in your free time sounds like a perfectly fine thing to do to me.

I would rather that than they spend their time off winding themselves up about the importance of the next match. They'll be under enough pressure as it is.

I see your point mate, I just disagree with it. There have to be other ways as a young wealthy man to have fun than sit in a nightclub with tarts and potential trouble around the table. PLENTY of great late-night super club type places where you can go and have a quality meal, some tremendous wine, great 'company' if you wish and avoid the public glare/the trash quotant...I know I know, 'old man' but it's true mate. All IMO.

I thought this was one of those kind of establishments. The only reason the story got out was because one of the one directions guy's friends talked to the press about it.

Spurs footballers and 'big' (brick really) band's being there makes me think it's not a 'normal' club, especially when the £5k minimum spend came into it.

I guess i could be wrong on that though.

Totally disagree.

As stated elsewhere, there is no proof whatsoever that THEY were drinking. The tinkle-poor "story" states that jeraboams of vodka were delivered to THEIR table, where several other non-footballers were sitting.
No reports of them being tinkled up or anything.

And these are young blokes in their 20s. Think back..........how often did YOU go out for a nice quiet meal and a couple of glasses of wine at that age? Be honest........

Never! But now in my thirties I regret it.

Had a dream last night that Arsenal conceded a real calamitious goal against Saudi Sportswashing Machine. Goalmouth scramble sort of thing and we took fourth place. I NEVER have these dreams!

Arsene Wenger out to destroy Tottenham's dreams.
or
Andre Villas-Boas ready to spark Tottenham revolution.

Which will it be? .. I'm nervous as fudge already and we're still a day away.

That thread about Pardew not caring if they lose has me seriously worried.

I have another bad feeling about this final day.

It is really disappointing we have to rely on Arsenal's results like this. Wish we can just concentrate on this match fully. Instead we have to be curious about the Arsenal match from start to finish. Don't think can enjoy this match at all. It is going to be really nervous match for us.

I'm as pesimistic as any spurs fan, but tomorrow, we as supporters really have to BELIEVE. postive karma could make all the difference. Fans at the Lane have to get behind the team. Any anxiety will be transmitted to the boys.

Love the above two posts, seeing it from a differing angle, its going to be hard not to be thinking of the AFC game in all honesty

Last 2 weeks I have been looking for signs and reasons that Spurs will beat Arsenal to top 4. It has been a very difficult 2 weeks, as time goes by, the hope became smaller and smaller. For countless times I look at the games at Everton, Liverpool or at home against Fulham ... 2 more points ... why did we not get that 2 more points. Spurs fan has suffered and suffered, last season watching Martin Fulop gift Arsenal 2 goals and then a very poor Chelsea win CL is painful enough. This season I am not sure I am ready for another similar dose.

I have made my lovely wife watch games with me (even at 3am) because I believe she bring luck. I have banished my kids to their bed rooms when the game is on because I believe the reverse. I made sure I sit in the same spot (same go for the missus) during the game ... the stupid list goes on and on ... while Spurs did well Arsenal did better.

Tomorrow 11pm SGT, last game of the season ... the last time I am letting football get into me (until August that is) ... win, lose or draw ... season is over and finally the wife and kids do not need to worry about my mood swings, my yelling at the TV, the hitting of my forehead when a pass went amiss and many more stupid traits

It may sound stupid to worry about 2 football clubs in north London but this is my vice. I don't gamble, drink nor womanize (yes I do smoke) ... football (please don't call it soccer) and Tottenham IS my vice! One Last Game COYS!!!

Everyone in the ground needs to believe Arsenal WILL slip up. That will keep all positive. It's going to happen!!!

Certainly wont be easy not try to think what is going on at SJP. Any goals and will soon know, pretty sure SS1 will be on in a few of the exec boxes, so any goal news will travel around fast.
Can still remember the massive upturn in atmosphere when WBA equalised last season in the last match, then it went through the roof when they scored again. The noise was amazing. More of the same tomorrow

Same here, all our spare cash goes on getting to the games.

I agree, just one game, one more incident where we could have gained 2 extra pts. The dropped points do hurt, but we have to look at how many late wins/points we have picked up too. We have been United-esquefor the last few weeks.
Think its 7 games on the bounce we have scored late goals.

Yes maybe we were lucky at Wigan, but in the end, but for a defenders head in the way of Tommy's last second strike we could have got all 3.
Chesneys late save at QPR. What a difference that could make.
Oh for a Bale special when we had that late fk at Chelsea

On the other hand, had we been a point ahead, the pressure would firmly have been on us. And Lasagne would not be on the menu tomorrow for sure

Agree 100% about belief. Anything is still possible. It it doesn't go our way I'm sure we'd all rather go down fighting til the end.

And then news breaks that Walcott has scored after 30 seconds

Frankly, I will be more nervous if Saudi Sportswashing Machine scores early. That will only mean Arsenal will throw everything at Saudi Sportswashing Machine to get back into the game. Just don't want us to be given false hope only to be disappointed later on. Wish we can just avoid knowing about the Arsenal match until our match finishes.

I also dreamt that Arsenal/Saudi Sportswashing Machine drew 1-1 and we ended up winning to get fourth place.
