The thing is, that would mean at least two players were unmarked, find them.

Exactly, If we were half decent at playing out we'd be laughing. In Anges first 10 games we did that multiple times yet with injuries and lesser players on the ball he is still trying to force it. With Bentancur, VDV and Romero it's ok but with Dragusin who can't pass for s**t and a makeshift back 4 and Bissouma etc it's been suicidalThe thing is, that would mean at least two players were unmarked, find them.
If they are not - it's his job to make sure they do. That's what manager means.
I'll extrapolate from your comment that you think they are not.
Have they not been playing Ange's way since Nov 2023?
If they haven't - what has he done to change that?
If they have (which is what he has said), then the results are a result of his tactics.

Forest don't...
There are degrees to which you play out. It has a place in the game but not every bloody time. You don't knock the ball to Spence when he's surrounded by 3 Arsenal players on the edge of his box. You don't try to beat two players when you're facing your own goal and have two Everton players on you. And when you get away with it, your mate shouldn't try it too.
There was a stat in November that we played the fewest long balls from our goal kicks in the league - 0.
There is a lot of room between playing out every time and hitting long balls every time. We frequently make terrible decisions on when to do it.
No, didn't watch, that's how I knew Spence and Son got into trouble dribbling out and just made random comments when the match was on about it. We went long occassionaly, Kinsky is more willing to go long. But we also made some stupid decisions like the Spence and Son ones.Did you watch the game? We did go long at times we do every game. But we’ll try to retain possession and play out if we can (as almost all sides do).
You appear to have skipped my question - odd, because it was your question to start with. The question is how much time do you think is reasonable to give and what do you allow for missing key players?
Everything will be rosy red and bright lilywhite if we just change the manager now. That's all it takes. Got nothing to do with having half the squad injured the entire season.
A change in manager is the only thing that's guaranteed to work.
Just look at United. They appointed what is supposed to be the next Pep and supposedly the best young manager in the world. Look how well that is going...
The majority mix it up to some degree.Forest never play the ball out? It’s just not true. Let’s pretend that is so. It is just one side in the PL. why do all the others try to play out I wonder?
Ask. Idk what you’re asking. You appear to have skipped my question - odd,
because it was your question to start with.
If you'd like to answer that, that would be great.
Also an answer to your question above would be great - how long do you consider reasonable? Is a win rate circa 40% and loss rate >50% over the past 13 months acceptable to you?
Guess he no longer needs to look down at his phone which is doing an English to Australian language translation for him…
Wow! That is truly shocking. I mean, he makes eye contact with the interviewer for a full 3 seconds.
Sorry, I assumed the question marks in previous post would have indicated they were questions.Ask. Idk what you’re asking.
Context is important. In this context now: time is up. Because you can’t work in such a fractured atmosphere. Was there more to come from Postecoglou? Given lots of fit players I think he had something worth seeing. A system that could deliver silverware. But you have to give it time and if players are missing, you probably have to make some allowances.

I don’t think he thought the side were finished no. There was a sense of development all be it not linear. We were improving how we played out for example and our passing is much better than when he took over. But all the development has gone out the window with a patched up side.Sorry, I assumed the question marks in previous post would have indicated they were questions.
I'll repost:

No side plays out all the time and no side goes long all the time. Generally speaking, Forest don’t play out and don’t dingdong about under pressure at the edge of their box.Forest never play the ball out? It’s just not true. Let’s pretend that is so. They did that last year but today we couldn’t bang it up top because we had no one up topNo side plays out all the time and no side goes long all the time. Generally speaking, Forest don’t play out and don’t dingdong about under pressure at the edge of their box.
No side does one thing or other all the time. We’re probably the closest thing to doing it all the time and that becomes predictable and puts us under pressure.
Everton’s press was so good early on today. And that was because Moyes is a good manager and knew how we’d play in our final third and he suffocated the life out of us at times. And Moyes isn’t a manager known for his high pressing.
