**Official Other Games Thread, Season 2012/13**

Benteke and Lambert strange calls .

Benteke for the red card and Lambert , why no substitutions when you've had your side playing the game against a quality team , who themselves have made three substitutions in a ten versus ten game!

Just DOESN'T matter what we do, DESTINED FOR FAILURE EVERY F'ING TIME, NO WHAT HAPPENS, NO MATTER WHAT WE DO, US GOONIE fudging ****S WHO EVERY LOVES LAUGHING AT, HAS TO GET ****ED OVER AND FAIL, BECAUSE THAT IS WHAT THFC WERE MADE FOR, EVERY fudging TIME, EVERY fudging SEASON, COULDN'T GIVE A fudging brick ABOUT GAZZA BOOZIE FREE-KICK IN 91, COULDN'T GIVE A fudge ABOUT 61 OR ANYTHING ELSE, COS WHILST I'VE BEEN A FAN SINCE 1995 (Y'KNOW THE REAL WORLD) WE HAVE NEVER FINISHED ABOVE THE GOONS NOR WON ANYTHING BAR THE LEAGUE CUP, GOOD NIGHT AND fudge OFF FOOTBALL!

Even though we have ourselves to blame for losing silly points - it's really quite unbelievable how the other two have just pulled out results like this week after week, sometimes through luck and sometimes through the opposition capitulating. Someone up there doesn't want Spurs to get 4th.

That Arsenal win over Norwich stills grates with me. Absolutely no way did they deserve to win that game, got the break they needed.
Okay we came back to beat City but we didnt have the benefit of a penalty gifted to us (Whats a penalty???)

Eh. Expecting Villa to do anything other than capitulate was a mug's game.

Like it or not, GHod is a Chelsea fan, complete with plastic 'Samsung' kit and comedy Luiz hair.

The script was painfully obvious for all to see. Chelsea, down to ten men ,struggling, looking like they've finally given up, before Super Frankie Lamps rescues them for what may be the last time, breaking the Tambling record as he does so.

GHod is a Chelsea fan.

But, we have other avenues. If GHod is a Chelsea fan, he must have at least a dislike of Arsenal and an admiration for fellow 'loadsamoney' club City.

So City will beat Wigan. Which is probably the best thing we could have hoped for.

Wigan will then have nothing left but survival, which, thanks to the Villa loss today, looks achievable.

Beat Arsenal on Tuesday and it'll come down to whichever side picks up the three points when Villa play Wigan at the DW next week. A perfect set-up for a late Wigan miracle.

So, in a way, GHod's perverse enjoyment of Chelsea successes helps us. Now, Tottenham fans have to hope that City smash Wigan to bits, as distasteful as that may sound.

And, as a final addendum, if the players watched that match, they shouldn't feel like fate or luck have dealt them a cruel hand. They put themselves in this position by failing to beat Norwich, losing at home to Fulham and struggling to a draw against Wigan.

Need a miracle off Wigan now, or at least a QPR victory tomorrow.

I have been confident for weeks we would still finish 4th, but as each game has gone by and every result (bar Everton and United drawing with Arsenal) going against us, my confidence is waning by the day.

As Magna Carter suggests, no matter what we do in the next 2 games, you get the feeling we will get no help from anybody else.

I'd have preferred Chelsea to have steamrolled Villa right now, so at least we did get that little bit of hope to have it crushed and taken away.

Nothing has really changed in recent weeks mate. It has always been about the last day and that Saudi Sportswashing Machine game. Sadly, they will not be in trouble for that last game as they will have more than 4pts difference with Wigan.

But you never kow, they might be up for it, finish above Sunderland, or do it for their fans on the last day. We all know Pardew will be up for it anyway.

I can see us struggling at Stoke anyway to be honest.

We had three in the Basel game, and proved just how wonderfully effective we are at those.

The only potential silver lining to be gleaned from Villa losing this match is that it keeps Wigan interested and in with a definite shout of avoiding relegation.

i know the Scum are in good form but the last time they had to play anyone with something to play for (Everton) they dropped points at home.

last season they was up against a West Brom side with nothing to play for on the last day to confirm their place in 3rd and were it not for that goalkeeping performance they could very well have fudged that up. s is a blow only because for briefly Villa were leading - i don't think anyone had us to finish above Chelsea after the game midweek (probably further back than that) so let's just get the points tomorrow and sit back safe in the knowledge it's out of our hands

To be fair, we were extraordinarily unlucky to have had our Champions League place stolen away from us after finishing 4th last season.

But as to refereeing decisions, agreed. We're no more or less lucky than most other clubs.

Agreed last season we were incredibly unfortunate. But our fans conveniently forget about times when we played crap and lost, like last week for example. Absolutely no way we deserved to win that. Last season it was "Oh there you go, RVP fc with another lucky late goal", we've been just as reliant on Bale this season. People act like were some plucky little provincial club, were one of the biggest and richest clubs in England.

Disappointing, but not surprising I suppose.

Although Benteke deserved a red overall the 2nd yellow was harsh I thought. Slight difference between him and Ramires in that Ramires jumped up with his foot high in two situations two seconds apart and he had already made another foul after his initial yellow. That foul wasn't a yellow card offense, but it all adds up. Referee probably felt that he didn't have a choice having already sent off Ramires after something similar.

Shame as Chelsea were wobbling, especially after the first sending off.
