Mikey Moore

You could tell he was eager to go at the full back, but on most occasions we were too slow to get him the ball and he had 2 opposition players back to defend.

If we can perform better overall and get him the ball more he's gonna be a real weapon for us soon

Kids bring energy
This team has NO energy
Kids bring a desire to impress. They also dont have mental baggage

If you’re good enough, you’re old enough… hopefully Moore shall be bringing similar vigour to Spurs that a teenage Wayne Roooney did to Everton back at the start of his PL career.

I think Moore will link up very well with Solanke, it’s just typical that now we have Moore back that Solanke is out injured.

Just to remember, Mikey Moore is 17, lept past u-21s straight from U-18s, and has already had one significant lay-off this season. Potential generational talent; I don't want to break him early.
Absolutely. Good to see Ange not asking too much of him and Richarlison despite our obvious problems.

He does show his quality again though. And it's not like he's been overplayed so far. Would think that he'll be used more in the coming weeks if his physical fitness is there.

By the time he came on Everton were putting on full backs as wingers. Rare that we could do much that wouldn't see him up against two because of how they were playing at the time.

But seeing what he did in those circumstances I'm really looking forward to see him in other circumstances.

Coming on in games with around 25 to 30 minutes left will probably suit Mikey well. His ball carrying is likely to get better results when up against more tired opposing defenders.

In the PL that's probably what we'll see short term at least. Maybe he'll get another start or two in the EL.

To start it would probably depend just as much on physical fitness, ability to do the defensive part.

It's not just ball carrying/dribbling he brings though... And I remain intrigued to see what he's capable of now in PL games even if perhaps not ready to start.

Could not agree more, having worked with young players i wish i had a pound for everyone that played far too much And broke down early in their time.
I agree in general. But at the moment it's not like Moore has been playing far too much, or much at all.

Assuming he's recovered well from his injury and what we're seeing now is Ange easing him in being mindful of his fitness, not playing him too much too soon I think we can play him a bit going forward.

Didn't light up the place yesterday with skill and dribbling. But some nice passes and just looks like he belongs at this level to me. Never panicked, plays it safe when he has to. Helped us manage possession and the ball.

This was actually the most impressive thing for me, slowing the game down deliberately to manage the tempo.

The skill and dribbling will come with more regularity I'm sure, as evidenced at Everton.

Agreed. Like to see that from a young player. He obviously wants to do well, but not desperate to impress with every involvement. Being able to adjust to game state and different situations.

Obviously you need talent and hard work to make it. But for a manager to really start trusting a young player with meaningful minutes I think those things matter.

Lankshear did well in that regard aswell. Thought he looked good. Really hope they get plenty more minutes.

If Ange and the boys don't secure UEFA football, they will have to redraw the line for which players get loans next season. Other than that, they may need to re-introduce the integration between first team and U21 matches and let players like Mikey pivot between. I don't really recall Mikey playing for the U21s.

He's hardly played in U21's probably under 10 games.
