Mikey Moore

I think he's too young to go on loan and it's better to keep him where his development can be managed. He'll get game time when hes ready with us.
He's 17, he's not too young. Could even send him to somewhere like Leyton Orient if they are interested so he's still close to home and can be kept an eye on.

According to the FA regulations, players must generally be 18 or older to enter into a loan agreement.

Mostly kept it simple in the first half. But still, tried to make things happen at times, found team mates with his passes.

Then another gear in the second half. Started going past players with ease. Could easily have had an assist.

When/if he can do what he does in that second half more often and against PL level opposition he'll get regular game time. Personally I don't think that's far off.

He's had a growth spurt. Got tall. Thought it was lankshear when i first saw him.

It's actually an exception process, it can be done, but FA actually doesn't recommend (some stuff in there about if they are still receiving schooling, etc.)
Once the player isn't in full time education and it has the agreement of the players parents/guardian there isn't an issue.

Would be good, but looks like they are loaning someone else, and they already have 2 of ours. Might not have the space for any Moore....

No. He was playing as a winger and the only cross of note was the one for Werners header that was cleared off the line. Went by his man a couple of times but did nothing with it. This was against a non-league team, not a top team. I'm not singling him out, the rest of the forwards were awful.

He's obviously a real talent, just not ready for PL football yet. He'll most likely only get a few mins here and there if he stays, especially as he needs to get back some sharpness. Getting regular game time in the championship would be more beneficial for him.
He was pretty much only set up in situations where he had to beat at least a couple of players to create something. I thought he did well.

Tamworth obviously aren't a good football team by a PL standard, but they made things difficult for him and us. In the period of the game before they get tired he was our most creative player along with Maddison.

Huge gulf in quality in that particular game, but he went past players with absolute ease once he got up to speed. Similar to Maddison and Bissouma (our best performing players imo). He's shown the same against better players (particularly the AZ game). While also showing that he won't just try the dribble every time, he'll make good decisions and connect well with his teammates.

He may not be ready for PL football. But I think he may be close enough where he may not need a loan. The next 6-12 months will probably answer that more clearly.

It was the same with Bergvall a couple of months ago and he's clearly stepped up. I think Moore can too, though obviously impossible to know if he will or not. But like Bergvall the talent he has is immense.

Not seen much of Mikey, but did get the feeling that he could move inside and become the 10 soon. He seemed to think like a 10 in his play.
I think that's definitely a possibility. He's looked better on the left than the right, but I think he has the talent and versatility to potentially play any of those more attacking non striker positions.

Obviously has great one vs one ability (yet to be seen transferred to a PL level), but also seems to have vision, composure and good passing. Those players can often play in multiple roles and if he fulfils his potential he could be good enough that it doesn't matter that much where on the pitch he plays.

The difference between Moore and Bergvall is that Bergvall has played a decent amount of mens football in Sweden. It's not up to the standard of PL but it's still a step up from anything that Moore has been involved in besides a few mins here and there this season.

Yes, that is a difference. And some players need that to be able to step up to a PL level, most players even. But not all. I think Moore may be one that doesn't.

If Ange and the boys don't secure UEFA football, they will have to redraw the line for which players get loans next season. Other than that, they may need to re-introduce the integration between first team and U21 matches and let players like Mikey pivot between. I don't really recall Mikey playing for the U21s.
