Mikey Moore

Great to see him fulfil the promise he's had for the last couple of years.
So many skilful twisting runs and nearly moments.
Then with 5 seconds left he drives inside, powers right then cuts it back through the legs, textbook finish along the deck. Beautiful.

Nice to see him stifling tears, realising his dream has come true.
Thought he was very good today, had an impact even before the goal.

I think he still needs to learn how to play against a tight packed team.

But when he got some space, he can turn a player inside out. It's just the 2nd or 3rd player closing him down.

Should have scored 2 tonight though!

I'm hoping Mikey's x-factor is going to be his finishing. There's been a few things he's done in front of goal that have impressed me. I think I got that feeling from pre-season. Didn't he score a couple? I know all the clips of him as a kid implied he's a good finisher.

Scored Vs Hearts, along with Lankshear.
Not sure he scored any more for the first team.

But I'm sure he was scoring or assisting in a lot of games, but might include the academy and England.

His touch and the way he carrys the ball give of Waddle vibes to me.

I'm absolutely convinced he is going to be a star for us.

It's more Bale for me. Waddle was languid. Brilliant but a lot slower.

Moore is more direct. Sure he hasn't got the raw pace of Bale but he's a modern footballer. Probably more like Foden tbh.

Either way I have the feeling he is going to be a generational talent.

I never saw Greaves in real life but I get those vibes too from the footage I've seen of Greaves run at a player.

Mad thing is, I don't think Mikey played so well tonight.

Then he goes and does that.

On the right wing he was very limited and when he replaced Son on the left in the second half he was more comfortable - but you have to remember Son shredded that guy time and time again in the first half.

Deki dominated the right wing in the sound half even bowling the full back over once with his physicality.

But he has heart fight and desire and he will do just fine.

Waddle was deceptively quick.

He had long legs and could put in a burst but I can't agree waddle was quick.

Anderton ws more like waddle than Moore.

Waddles game wasn't about pace despite being a winger. He was just ridiculously skillful.

He made space differently.

I looked at Waddle and though this bloke been on the tinkle and shagging all night, then he got the ball and was magic, my son was heartbroken when he left club.
