Mauricio Pochettino - Sacked

According to Rory Smith at the Times, Chelsea have identified Mauricio Pochettino as one of four main candidates to take over as manager from interim boss Guus Hiddink at the end of the season. The four managers Chelsea are now considering are: Pochettino, Diego Simeone, Jorge Sampaoli and Didier Deschamps.

I think Deschamps is top of the list. He will have them playing boring, defensive football and Roman will sack him in a couple of years.

If Chelski don't make Europe could it trigger a downward spiral for a few years for them?
I mean which of the top managers would want to take the job that risks a sack at a moment's notice AND doesn't have top-tier football (i.e. CL or even EL)?

I don't think Poch would leave us right now.. He hasn't finished what he's started and I don't think John Terry would enjoy double training sessions.

Way to try and derail our season though.

Also we've got a *chance* of winning the league this season. A manager's contract will be full of bonuses for such an event, Shirley? I reckon even without a financial incentive he's relishing the challenge.

Might be the contrary. With no European games they'll be able to focus on the league and challenge for the title. They have the talent and the money, all they need is a decent coach.

How nice them.

We haven't feared losing a manager since Redknapp was linked to the England job?

Makes for a much better overall feeling that fearing how long we'll have to live with our current manager or long-ish stints of managerial ambivalence.

I think it is essential that Levy gives Poch a new contract ASAP. More than anything else it sends out the right message that everyone is happy within the camp and will help to dampen any speculation.
