I think what is interesting with yesterday and some of the European games is the evolution of Poch's rotation.
Fairly obvious Poch gets a core group of players he trusts (that was his work last season), what is happening is we are getting to that second/rotation group that is being added to the trusted.
- Original trusted group - Lloris, Walker, Jan, Toby, Rose, Dier, Dembele, Alli, Lamela, Eriksen, Kane
- expanded group - Vorm (must have been very tempting to go for Lloris yesterday), Davies, Trippier, Carroll, Son, Mason, Bentaleb (not completely sure what Poch's current view on Bentaleb is)
That really eases the pressure on the squad, gives us the opportunity to maybe see some rotation in PL games as well (or regular subs).
Have to say, Poch surprises me, his plan/strategy does seem to evolve (not sure I can remember a recent manager who changed anything 18 months in)
